We pray for the repose of the soul of Peter Boudens Sr., Father of Peter (Cathy) Boudens, Martha Burchat, mother of Betty (Steven) Biesenthal and Paul Gervais brother of Leonard (Claire) Gervais. May they and all the faithful departed rest in peace.

SUNDAY OFFERINGS

Last weekend’s Offering was $5,509.75 The Share Lent to date is $16,410.75. Thank you for your generous support of our parish and the poor.

ANNUAL TULIP TEA

The Annual Tulip Tea sponsored by the Miramichi Lodge Auxiliary will be held in the Community Centre, Miramichi Lodge on Wednesday May 9th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

YOUNG PARENT SUPPORT program

The Columbus House ”Young Parent Support Program” fundraiser will supply baby bottles for interested families or individuals to take home on Mother’s Day, May 13th , to be returned on Father’s Day, June 17th . With each bottle a card will be included that briefly explains what the Young Parents Support Program is and how the funds will be used. A charitable tax receipt will be issued for amounts over $20.00. Having the fundraiser between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day emphasizes the importance of family, and the love of God through the generosity of the faith community.

ST. COLUMBA’S CEMETERY

The Memorial Service will be held Sunday, July 22nd at 2:00 p.m.

PARISH CENSUS HELPERS:

Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Pastoral Council is in the process of conducting a Parish Census to update the Parish Records and to better serve the needs of parishioners. Many parishioners have agreed to become Street Captains in their areas. They are helping with the Census by delivering Registration Packages to the various households where Catholics reside. If you are able to help in any of the areas listed below, we would be most grateful. Please call Elwood Fitzpatrick at 732-2151 as soon as possible.

PARISH COUNCIL MEMBERS

The Parish Pastoral Council meets to discuss and plan for the needs of our Parish community in both the spiritual and social life of our parish. Each year our PPC requires new members to replace retiring members. We have nine members on our council and are presently looking for new members. The PPC meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month except January, July and August. If you are interested in serving on the PPC please contact the Chair, Pat Quinn @ 613-735-3063.
