MEETING MINUTES: NOVEMBER 18, 2015

Treasurer’s Report
The balance in the checking account is $34,086.40. Asking for drama to get half of the profits from the concessions from the play. From here on out, we will be splitting the concessions.

Boys’ Sports:
Basketball – Reminder for coaches to turn off lights after practices. Some parents raised concern of the evaluation process. Attempted to have coaches conduct tryouts for teams they were not coaching. Hope to announce teams differently in the future with possibility of posting teams on the website. Schedule should be out as soon as next week. Coordinators looking into different types of work schedules for parents. Coordinators have asked coaches for input on this. Pictures are scheduled for January 13th.
Girls’ Sports:
Volleyball – Games start weekend of 10/17. Home teams have to maintain scoreboard and scorebook. Any refunds will be given if student quite prior to start of season.
Old Business:
Fall Sports Coaches Evaluations – Used Survey Monkey to conduct evaluations. Received 17 Cross Country responses and 19 Football responses. Feedback surrounding Cross Country was positive. Parents were happy about program becoming regionalized by reaching out to other teams. Feedback for Football was mixed. Concerns were expressed about not being able to use the practice field as well as the handling of the end of season party. There are a few outstanding uniforms – plan is to hold report cards and/or lock accounts out of ASCEND.
Scoreboard – Assumption purchased a new score board.
New Business:
Tim Clifford / Amy Keller – Use of St. Ann Gym –The Football team had a practice at St. Ann and there was a supervision issue with the children. Amy Keller will need ALL contact information for all coaches and Board Members for future reference. We will be allowed the use of St. Ann gym starting at 630.
Girls Basketball – All teams are set and turned into the GWAC. Currently have (13) at the 3rd/4th grade level. Coordinator plans to send a blast email to 3rd/4th grade families – only need 2 more girls.
Night at the Races – January 16th – Doors open at 7. Races start at 7:40. There will be a total of 10 races. Girls & Boys Basketball will be selling raffle tickets. Need a chair for Wheel of Fortune & Bingo Ball. Jason Guerley will be asked to chair Odds. We have a food sponsorship through Brotherton’s. Need for a lot of volunteers. Website – Dawn Mussig currently working with Maria to get more added. Work in progress. Blue Sombrero is a possibility to use for registrations.
