HCPT - The Pilgrimage Trust

We are the Cambridge group of a national Easter pilgrimage to Lourdes for disabled children. The group consists mainly of past and present students from Fisher House, the Cambridge University Catholic chaplaincy, but is open to all. Volunteers must be willing to commit to the trip about 6 months in advance, attend group meetings, help with fundraising and spend time in the run up to Easter getting to know the child they would be caring for on the trip.

Justice and Peace

We are a friendly group who meet monthly to reflect on both the spiritual basis of our commitment to Justice and Peace and the issues of the day. We plan activities to address these issues - these may be liturgical events, speaker meetings, fund-raising, campaigning, publicity events etc. We work to:
• increase awareness of suffering in our community and in the wider world
• develop understanding of the causes of that suffering
• help build a more just and peaceful world
Recent projects include support for CAFOD campaigns, support for the homeless and asylum seekers, awareness-raising climate change issues.
