Dear Friends of Our Journey,

Most of you already know my precious 7 year old granddaughter Ella gained her wings on March 31; she battled a DIPG brain tumor for almost a year. The loss is greater than I ever imagined; without my faith that she is in a better place, not sure I could handle it. Thank you to all the earthly angels that were there for my family, we met them at every corner of this difficult journey.

This past week Pastor Andy Chambers and I have purchased our plane tickets to return to Kenya this July; to say the least, I am excited, as I did not go last year. Thank you Andy for keeping Our Journey on track this past year.

Because of your generosity, over 112 children at Sunshine School A & B now have some school supplies. Your donations to theOur Journey sponsored Sunshine School Project has made it possible for most of the children to have a school uniform, school supplies and a hot meal every day at school ... for most their only food. Our Journey's challenge in 2016 is to support all 112 children with necessities that we take for granted. Right now, we have support for 70 children attending Sunshine School. Please consider taking the challenge in 2016 ... $30.00 a month will support one child for a year.

These women have been hired to make the school uniforms for Sunshine School. In 2014 Our Journey funded/supported this Sewing Training School Project with Pastors Ken and Mary. Great job ladies! Our Journey is helping to break the cycle of dependency.

Our Journey's ultimate goal is to partner with Pastors David and Anne and buy land and build a school to replace these mud roomsthey currentlyrent that have no electricity, water or toilets.
We are counting down the days until we return to Kenya. There are so many ways to get involved with OJI--sponsoring a child is only one. Other options include buying a blanket ($13), a pair of shoes, ($5), or a feminine hygiene kit ($5). No gift is too small to change a child's life.
