Our Story…
Colette Gunnell, of Centerville Utah, and Kara Egan of Holladay, Utah, were busy moms looking for a safer and healthier alternative to wick candles. These two remarkable ladies are sister-in-laws and they combined their efforts to create a unique product which resulted in the formation of Scentsy in 2003.
Orville Thompson met Colette and Kara at a home show in which each were participating vendors. He was introduced to Scentsy and loved the Scentsy line so much that he approached the duo about purchasing their company. A deal was made and Orville and Heidi Thompson became the new owners, moving the business to Meridian, Idaho in May of 2005.
With Orville’s direction and business experience, Scentsy has continued to grow, at a phenomenal rate… breaking records and setting the pace for Scentsy to become a leader in the candle industry.
Colette and Kara are still very much a part of this company today. Their love for the products didn’t end with the sale of Scentsy. You will find Colette and Kara aggressively marketing Scentsy products to individuals, business, and having fun demonstrating these fragrant products in homes through out their areas. Today, Kara and Colette are both Scentsational Directors of their own Scentsy teams.

Scentsy presently offers over 80 fragrant scents and 40 exclusive and authentic Scentsy Warmers. In addition, we offer car candles and room sprays with plans to expand our line in the near future.
Signature Scentsy Candle Bars…
Scentsy Bars are incredibly potent bars of highly scented wax. Because a sooty candle is never our problem, we can pack each Scentsy Bar with more fragrance oil than most 12 oz jarred candles. With over 80 fragrances to choose from, there is one sure to please everyone. Each candle bar will last approximately 60-80 hours.
Authentic Scentsy Warmers…
Scentsy Warmers are specifically designed to perfectly melt our Signature Scentsy Bars into an impressive wax pool that throws the maximum amount of fragrance over the longest period of time. Scentsy Warmers melt wax at a lower temperature so there is never any danger of burning children or pets. With dozens of colors and styles to choose from, there is a Scentsy Warmer to fit almost every décor.
Our candle warmers are electric and are heated with a 25 watt light bulb, included with every warmer purchase. This low watt bulb is hot enough to melt the wax, but not hot enough to burn if spilled. Our warmers feature a dial on/off switch for your convenience. Simply place a few cubes of your favorite Scentsy fragrance into the dish or tea cup of your Scentsy warmer and voila! No wick. No smoke. No worries. Just your favorite aroma released slowly into your home, office or business by the safety and warmth of your Scentsy warmer. The liquid wax will always stay in the dish or tea cup. Meaning, the level of your wax will never change. Only the fragrance is released into your air space.
Car Candles…
Scentsy’s Car Candles come in every fragrance that Scentsy has available in our current season’s product line. This is an excellent way to take your favorite fragrances on the go. We do warn that these car candles should hang freely due to the high concentration of fragrance and oils.
There are so many wonderful uses for our car candles.
-Hang a car candle in your vehicle or closet
-Dangle a car candle in you heating/cooling register will allow the fragrance to circulate each
time your air kicks on to circulate
-Great to hang behind toilet fixtures in bathrooms or restrooms in businesses.
Room Sprays…
Our Scentsy Room Spray fragrances are so fantastic, you can take them everywhere! Room Sprays are excellent for use in your car, closet, hotel room, or wherever you need a blast of your favorite Scentsy Fragrance. Our room sprays are justas packed with fragrance punch as our Signature Scentsy Bars. T
Scentsy Room Sprays have many uses too!
-“Recharge” your favorite car candle fragrances with a simple sprits when the fragrance is no longer your desired strength.
-Sprits a cotton ball with your favorite fragrance and then vacuum it up with your vacuum or hand held dust buster to release a scentsational fragrance while cleaning.
-Before turning on lights, sprits the light bulbs. This can be done to light bulbs in household lamps, or bathroom vanities. When turned on, the heat released from your light bulbs will warm the fragrance you’ve just sprayed on your bulbs.
-Before exiting your vehicle, sprits your air vents or floor mats for a refreshing scent the next time you’re on the go.

To assist our new recruits in getting their business off to a scentsational start, Scentsy has the Shooting Star Program. This program is only offered to new recruits during their 1st 15 days of signing to be a Scentsy Consultant. We are very proud of the affordable Scentsy Starter Kit that allows you to begin your own Scentsy business with little expense. However, our starter kit is very simplified with only the very basics needed to begin your business. The Shooting Star Program is for those new recruits that would like more product and displaying options for their needs. If the new recruit can sell at least $500 in Personal Retail Sales within their 1st 15 days of their Scentsy contract, then that consultant is eligible to purchase a Warmer Kit Enhancement

Scentsy’s 60 day Scentsational Start Program
