Christmas Market information

Where is the event being held?
Main Auditorium, Central Hall, 2 West Tollcross Edinburgh
When will I get the conference room table allocation?
E-mail will be sent to Link Teacher in the week commencing the 27th November, available on the Lothian website www.lothianyes.com and also on arrival at the event.
Display stand – how can we drop this / products off outside the location?
You will need to park and unload in Dunbar Street as no parking outside the venue.
How are we going to set up the table / stall?
The table will be in situation with no cloth provided. Please think about your table design to display products in a way that it is noticed by the public.
What do we need to include on the display stand

How are we going to advertise the event – in the school, with parents, parents work or any other locations? Local papers, school bulletin, PTA notification etc.
Print off copies of the Christmas poster available on the Lothian website and send out to interested locations.
How can we display them to the best advantage?
View the stall from the front – see what the public see.
How can we attract people to the stand?
Invite the public to visit your stall, explain what you are selling, the price etc.
What other information do we want to put on the stand?
Have any information displayed on the display boards on in a separate files on the front of the display stand so that people can read all about your company

Other points you need to think about

No access to the auditorium until 9am. Event starts at 10am until 3pm. Prizes will be awarded at 2.30pm. It will be up to each company to tidy the area around their allocated table.
Table sizes available are 4ft and 6ft (limited number and allocation will be on a first come basis only once registration form has been emailed to the organiser of the event.
What products do we have to sell? Possible order form available - include postage / delivery charge.
Set up a rota so everyone knows when to attend and also be able to answer any of the judge’s questions?
How are we going to be dressed – e.g. school uniform, Christmas outfits, casual etc?
How will the team get to the event?
Float money – How much do we need?
Lunch / drinks during the day. Available in the Tollcross area or bring your own.

Notes

Lothian area will advertise the event in Canalside and Edinburgh South directories which has a circulation of 10,000. We will also be in contact with local radio station. Copy of the Christmas Market poster will be put in local shops and available to the church congregation.

Please remember to bring all the necessary stationery required to have the display stand completed e.g. scissors, table cloth etc.

NB - No posters or advertisements are to be stuck to the walls of the auditorium.
