We currently have 5 partners, 3 long standing salaried GPs and 1 Fixed Term Salaried Doctor. All doctors are involved in the educational and development work of the practice as well as clinical delivery. We also have a large team of nurses who undertake triage duties and the practice is supported by an excellent admin team.
We wish to recruit a salaried doctor/s to cover between 4 and 8 sessions, for a minimum period of 6 months, post to commence 1st May 2012. The successful applicant/s will participate in a rota which includes extended hours surgeries, home visits, on call duty & various clinics.

Applications are invited from doctors who have experience in relevant specialties and live within 1 hours travel time of Rotherham General Hospital. Relevant specialties: General Practice, Sexual Health, Genitourinary Medicine, Gynaecology, Accident in Emergency Medicine.
South Yorkshire Sexual Offences Examiners (SOEs)
provide assessment, forensic examination and immediate medical care to adult and child victims of sexual assault on a rota basis 24/7 in dedicated forensic examination suites.
We are based at The Isis and Artemis Sexual Assault Referral Centres, Rotherham Hospital
And also conduct joint examinations with paediatricians at
Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Barnsley Hospital and Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
These posts are an opportunity to widen your horizons and develop a part time special interest role. For doctors interested in developing a more substantial role in clinical forensic medicine it is a good starting point.
Full induction training, one to one support and ongoing mentoring is provided by experienced colleagues. All SOEs are encouraged to obtain nationally recognised qualifications in forensic sexual assault examination. Ongoing peer review, CPD and appraisal will be provided by a supportive team of doctors.
Visits to the SARC and shadowing sessions can be arranged.
