Welcome

We appreciate your interest in Associated Bank. The Operational Risk Management team is responsible for creating, developing, and implementing operational risk programs for Associated Bank. The programs assist the business lines in identifying risks and ensuring appropriate controls exist for mitigation. An important goal of the team is to monitor and report on risk events that could negatively impact the organization and ensure the risks are within the established risk appetite and tolerance.

We hope this preview demonstrates what it is like to be part of the Operational Risk Management team so you can decide to join or grow with our great company.

What You Do

An effective risk program will deliver value to the business lines and organization by identifying events or trends that may impact revenue or the ability to conduct business. By doing so the Operational Risk team can provide effective challenge, recommendations, oversight, and reporting to aid in reducing losses and events. Members of Operational Risk have the opportunity to bring positive impact to the organization.

The Ideal Fit

The Challenges

We want to review the challenges of the Operational Risk Analyst position so you can make an educated decision if this position is right for you. Your success is important to you, Associated Bank and our customers.

  • Operational risk can be difficult to understand and therefore is not always seen as a value-added function.
  • Operational risk is a fairly new discipline that is still evolving. At times it can be difficult to make adjustments during the building and maturing phase of the related programs.
  • Balancing multiple projects at once can be challenging. It is often necessary for risk analysts to manage multiple programs at once requiring strong time management and prioritization skills.
