Competitions: Singles, Men’s Pairs, Mixed Pairs, Triples, Rinks, Hospital Cup Triples and Millennium Cup (Club KO)

The closing date for entries to be received is set for each season at the Spring Meeting. All entries and fees must be in the hands of the Competitions Secretary on or before the published deadline.

The first-named player will be considered to be the Home player and, upon receipt of the draw, must offer within 3 days, 3 dates to his opponent, 2 in one week and one in another week to be accepted within 72 hours. In the first instance these will be weekday evenings and any other times will be by mutual agreement.

Conditions of play: One substitute will be allowed in all competitions except the Singles, provided that the substitute has not previously played in the same competition. A substitute can play in any position in a new game. However if the substitute is brought on during a game he is not permitted to play as skip. In effect this means that in all competitions except the singles a team can include one extra person. So five can participate in a rink competition, four in a triple and three in a pair provided only one extra person per team has been used throughout the competition.

The Competition Secretary must be advised of the result by telephone or email within 24 hours of completion of the tie. The winning skip must send an approved results sheet to reach the Competitions Secretary within four days. All players’ names are to be entered on the form which should be signed by both skips.

All semi-finals are to be played on greens agreed with the Competitions Secretary.

Trophies and prizes will be presented at the Presentation Evening at Durham Indoor Bowls Club on Fri 25th September 2015. Failure to attend or be represented at this event will result in forfeiture of trophy and/or prize.
