Let’s try a search: Type endangered animals in the search encyclopedia box. You’ll notice of the 12 articles, most aren’t specifically on endangered animals. There may only be a mention of endangered animals in the articles. So you will have to dig deeper. I’d suggest searching by specific animal. Let’s do California Condor. You’ll notice, you have 7 articles this time, a bit more promising.
Let’s try an advanced search. Click the Advanced Search button. Put in California Condor AND Extinction. This time you get five usable articles. You could also use the Boolean OR or NOT to select what kind of responses you want.
Go to the first one, Condor. If you read it and find noteworthy info, you can print it, save it, or e-mail it to yourself to use later. There’s a picture and a list of websites that you can use. On the left side, there is a list of main topics in the article to save you some time.
Don’t forget that any info you use has to be cited. In a footnote, the citation would look like this: (copied and pasted directly from the bottom of the page)
Footnote format:
Richard D. Brown, "Condor," World Book Online Americas Edition,
http://www.worldbookonline.com/ar?/na/ar/co/ar128740.htm, January 13, 2003.
Bibliography format:
