Profitability: The return on average assets (ROAA) increased to 0.37% compared to 0.34% at 2Q08 and 0.40% for the same period in 2007. The year over year decline in net income is primarily the result of lower interest rates which led to a decline of 0.24% decline in the financial margin. This was partially offest by an increase in other income and a reduction of 0.12% in operating expenses. The efficiency ratio declined marginally as a result of lower revenue.

Credit Risk: In the latest twelve months, loan costs have declined to 0.11% compared to 0.13% at 3Q07 although gross delinquency has increased to 1.14% compared to 0.96% at 3Q07.
