One will be taken the other left behinda view from another angle

In my First Blog I commenced looking at Matthew 24:40-41 with the following choices.

There is two Choices that these verses can be looked at:

  1. The people being taken away are the people on earth that are killed when Jesus returns, we know that not all people are killed when Jesus returns, only those that have the mark of the Beast and worship his image and the Beast.
  2. The people being taken are the Believers in Jesus Christ who are taken to Safety prior to Jesus trampling the Wine press of the Wrath of God.

In my first Blog I looked at Choice Number 2. The people being taken are the Believers in Jesus Christ who are taken to safety prior to Jesus trampling the Winepress of the Wrath of God.

Below are the verses that we looked at.

Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Mat 24:41 Twowomen shall begrinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

In this Blog I am looking at it from the other perspective Choice number 1.

Jesus clearly stated that both are in the field, and both are at the mill; Jesus also clearly stated that one was taken and the other left behind at the mill or at the field.

If the Taken word is used in the context of being destroyed that means that both are at the location of the field or mill when some are being destroyed at the field or mill.

In other words none of them actually leave the field or the mill, some remain there alive and some are killed there.

The following verses are the reason why I am looking at this Choice number 1.

First the Saints of God the Elect are gathered together to Christ before he commences his judgement on the earth.

Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth noman,no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

It is on that Day and Hour that we in Christ are gathered together. It is also on the Day and Hour that Jesus will commence the Judgement.

Jesus mentions Noah (Singular) and the ones on earth that were TAKEN (Destroyed)as being they (plural), Jesus appears to be focusing on the Group of people that are being destroyed.

Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noewere,so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood ((THEY)) were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and TOOK(((THEM)) all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be TAKEN, and the other left.

Mat 24:41 Twowomen shall begrinding at the mill; the one shall be TAKEN, and the other left.

We know in the story of Noah that the ones not in the Ark were destroyed.

We also see this same picture in Luke 17 as follows:

Luk17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

Luk17:27 ((THEY)) did eat, ((THEY)) drank, they married wives, ((THEY)) were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and DESTROYED ((THEM)) all.

Luk17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot;(( THEY)) did eat, ((THEY))drank, ((THEY)) bought,(( THEY)) sold, ((THEY)) planted,(( THEY)) builded;

Luk17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed((THEM))all.

Luk17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

The focus is very strongly on ((THOSE)) that are being destroyed.

We know Noah is safe and rescued, the rest are all destroyed, we know Lot is safe and rescued and those at Sodom and Gomorrah only are destroyed.

In Noahs Judgement all on Earth were destroyed.

In Lots Judgement only those in Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed.

I believe it will be very similar when Jesus returns, some are destroyed and some remain the same as what happened in the Sodom and Gomorrah Judgement. It was only those in Sodom and Gomorrah that were destroyed, not the whole world.

Now back to Matthew 24:37-41.

We know the Elect are taken to meet Jesus, which means that all the other people remain alive on earth awaiting Gods Judgement..

If the Taken word is used in the context of being destroyed that means that there are two groups of people on earth after the Elect are gathered.

1. The ones that are taken (destroyed) from the field or mill etc.

2. The ones that are not killed and remain at the location of the field or mill.

Most believers would be aware that when Jesus returns to earth for the 1000 year reign, there are Nations that exist on the earth that are not immortal, they have a choice to obey or not obey.

It is Jesus and his Saints that reign over these Nations with a rod of iron.

Revelations 19:15 makes it very clear about the Nations existing.

Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Jesus does not smite his eternal Saints, No! He smites the Nations; Jesus does not rule his Saints with a Rod of Iron, No! He rules the Nations with a Rod of Iron.

We know that we will be in the First Resurrection and this starts the 1000 year reign.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

There will be Nations that exist when Jesus returns and He will Rule over them for 1000 years with us his Saints.

We know that it is the Armies of the Beast etc that are destroyed by Jesus at his coming.

Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Rev 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

We know that Satan is the one that deceives the Nations of the world at present but during the 1000 year reign of Jesus, Satan is bound and cannot deceive the Nations until he is again released.

Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

We know that after the 1000 years Satan will be released and he will again deceive the Mortal Nations and they will surround the camp of God.

Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

We know that the deceived Nations will be devoured by Fire from God in Heaven.

From the verses in Revelation we can safely say that when Jesus comes the Resurrection will take place and there will then be Two Groups of people that remain on the earth.

1. The ones that are going to be taken /destroyed are (those that worship the Beast and his image or have received the Mark of the Beast).

2. The ones that are NOT taken /destroyedand left behind alive on the earth are those that did not have the Mark of the Beast and did not worship the Beast and will be the mortal people (nations) that Jesus and his Immortal Saints will rule over for the 1000 year reign.

Very similar to what we see in Matthew 24 and Luke 17.

From this Choice number 1 the following verses COULD be read as follows

Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one (That worships the Beast) shall be taken, and the other (the one that does not worship the Beast) is left.

Mat 24:41 Twowomen shall begrinding at the mill; the one (That worships the Beast) shall be taken, and the other (the one that does not worship the Beast) left.

Luk17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Luk 17:31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

Luk17:32 Remember Lot's wife.

Luk17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Luk17:34 I tell you, in that night there shall be twomenin one bed; the one (That worships the Beast) shall be taken, and the other (the one that does not worship the Beast) shall be left.

Luk17:35 Twowomenshall be grinding together; the one (That worships the Beast) shall be taken, and the other (the one that does not worship the Beast) left.

Luk17:36 Twomenshall be in the field; the one (That worships the Beast) shall be taken, and the other (the one that does not worship the Beast) left.

I presented both Choices 1 and 2 in the Blogs so that I would not appear dogmatic.

In both Choices it is important for Believers to be ready for the day of Christ return.

Regardless of the two choices made they both end with Jesus Christ coming and gathering together his Saints, the First Resurrection. Jesus then judges the earth and destroys the Beast and his armies. There are Nations that are left behind that did not receive the mark of the Beast and it is these nations that the Saints and Jesus reign over for the 1000 years.

Satan will be bound for 1000 years and after that he will be released for a short while and once again deceive the Nations of the earth.

The Nations will come against the City of God and his Saints but God will send down fire from Heaven, all will be destroyed.

Death and Hades will then release all of the dead.

Then the White Throne Judgement will begin.

Then the New Heaven and the New Earth and then Jerusalem will come down from Heaven and God will be on earth forever with mankind.

I hope these Two Choices have been thought provoking; there are some that believe in Choice 1 and some that believe in Choice 2.

Shalom to you all.
