One Walk Research Promotion Opportunity

The Opportunity

We are offering T1D researchers the opportunity to promote their clinical trials to the T1D community at JDRF One Walk events around the country.

The Event

JDRF One Walk is JDRF’s flagship event in Australia with events taking place nationally during October and November. These walks will see thousands of dedicated corporate, family and individual supporters take a symbolic walk in order to raise funds for vital research and celebrate the advancement of research, medicine and science in the T1D community. The Offering

You can choose to promote your clinical trial at one or more of the Capital City and selected Regional JDRF One Walk events (as listed on page three). Please note that patient recruitment is not permitted at these events (see Conditions of Acceptance on page 2 for further details).

This opportunity entitles you to:

• A table/bench surface and two chairs within the JDRF Registration Marquee
• Access to engage with Walk participantswithin this space. This can include providing general information, answering questions, and providing Walk participants with your contact details.
• Promote your clinical trialwithin this space using marketing material and one pull-up banner (approx. 1m x 2m) that you provide
• Promotion of your clinical trial through designated event MC’s outside of this space utilising a sentencethat you provide

Acceptance and confirmation of booking

To confirm your place at the events, please ensure you complete the following steps:

• Read and accept the Conditions of Acceptance on page 2

• Fill in the booking form on page 3, including details for the central organiser
• Ensure you have registered your trial with the JDRF T1D Clinical Research Network
• Submit your booking form to Friday, 18th September 2015

Once you have submitted your booking form, a JDRF Development Manager will contact you within 7 days to confirm your booking and proceed with the next steps.

Conditions of Acceptance

JDRF wants promotion of your clinical trial to run smoothly and effectivelyat JDRF One Walk events. To support this in a manner that is in keeping with the event, the following conditions apply:

• A central organiser or contact person for promotion of your clinical trial must be nominated
• Your clinical trial must be registered on the JDRF T1DCRN Trial Finder. You can submit details of your trial on the T1DCRN website.
• Patient recruitment is not permitted at the events. This includes but is not limited to patient screening, consent, enrolment, and soliciting of contact details.

• JDRF will supply space within the JDRF Registration Marquee including a display table/ bench and two chairs
• Additional signage is to be provided by you, andshould be approx. 1m wide by 2m high and in the format of a pull-up / pop-up banner
• All promotional materials and signage must be delivered, set up, and removed post-event by your team and will not be the responsibility of JDRF staff
• All engagement activities must be contained within the space provided or within 1m of the front of the stall. Giveaways including promotional items must be handed to participants from your designated stall area.
• No amplified sound is permitted.
• Directions from JDRF staff must be adhered to on the day.
• It is important for consistency of ‘look’ to adhere to the above restrictions. It is also important to be respectful to your ‘neighbour’ on the day.
• Plans for marquee activities are to be submitted to JDRF prior to the event on a JDRF One Walk pro forma for review. This is to ensure activities fit with the event and are in alignment with overall event outcomes and site specific restrictions. JDRF will provide the pro forma upon booking.
• JDRF seeks to ensure a consistent look and feel at each One Walk event, howeverindividual site restrictions may vary by location (in particular regional sites).
