When you request a survey from Davis & Company, we will respond to your request within 24 hours, and will perform the survey within 72 hours.

When the survey is complete, a Davis & Company package - complete with two copies of the written report and any supporting documentation or photographs - will be delivered to your home or office within fifteen working days inclusive.

Pleasure Craft:

Similarly, if your boat is damaged or has been involved in an accident, we can offer a complete, impartial assessment of the damage. We have a menu of services products available to insurance claims professionals structured to meet your needs and to control LAE.
If you insure pleasure boats, Davis & Company can likewise provide you with a complete evaluation of any pleasure craft. Our surveyors can also inspect a vessel to verify that it meets all federal and voluntary fire and safety standards.

Commercial Craft:

As with pleasure craft, Davis & Company can provide complete evaluations on any commercial craft up to 100 tons net. We can evaluate a new or used vessel for purchase, assess any damage to a vessel and provide fire and safety inspections.
We also offer special survey options designed specifically for insurers and lenders. For example, if you presently insure or anticipate insuring a single vessel or a small fleet, determining the condition and value of those vessels is crucial. The mooring location, the intended use, and the qualifications of the captain and crew are all important when it comes to evaluating risk. Davis & Company can help.

Cargo Surveys:

Whether the product is raw material shipped via break bulk, or finished goods shipped by container damage is always a possibility. Did a marine casualty cause it? Or by some other peril? Was it a shortage or contamination problem?

Marine Facilities Surveys:

Is the shore power properly installed? Gregory Davis, our President, serves as a permanent member of the National Fire Protection Association Standard 303, "Fire Protection Standard for Marinas and Boatyards". He understands the fire code particulars.
