‘Once in a Blue Moon’
Camp Internet
Family Astronomy Night
Come join us ‘round an electronic campfire
for this fun family learning event!
Families are invited to join us for an online Astronomy Night with outdoor star watching challenges. Join us from a school, home, or public library computer as we learn about Native American star lore, pre-historic and historic celestial observatories around the world, and use online star charts to help us identify stars visible in the night sky. Participants will move from the online resources to the out of doors to make moon and star observations, and then come back to the keyboard to tell us what they have discovered in their own night sky.
This month is a Blue Moon – what does that mean ?
TWO full moons in one calendar month!
