Diedra Garcia isPresident and CEO ofDRG Construction Corp., a family-owned corporation since 1993. DRG has been recognized as one of theregion'sfastest-growing Hispanic-owned businesses and has earned national awards for excellence. In her tenure, the company has grown in sales, employee size and profitability. Under Ms. Garcia’s goal -oriented leadership, the company has a proven commitment to demonstrated service to its customers, business process improvement and sustained profitability.

Ms. Garcia- a recognized leader in the Denver construction industry- recently hosted a renowned author of a groundbreaking book, The Commercial Real Estate Revolution, to bring together a think tank of contractors, designers, sureties, bankers and owners to explore innovative trust-based contracting in Denver market. She sits on the board of the Colorado AGC and actively participates in shaping construction law in her state and city.

Garcia has been recognized as one of Colorado's leading entrepreneurs. Among these was The Denver Business Journal, which recognized her as Outstanding Woman of the Year for Business (Construction and Real Estate).The Journal also named her as oneof Colorado's most influential younger business leaders (40 Under 40). She was honored as Business Woman of the Year by the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Garcia was one of just 10 business leaders chosen to represent the United States in the prestigious U.S. Young Leaders Program in an envoy to Spain. She is a respected leader in the community and has called upon by organizations such as the Colorado US Attorney’s office to coach his executive team on leadership development.

Some of Ms. Garcia’s past and current civic and community engagements include several gubernatorial and mayoral appointments, such as chairman of the board of the state’s largest worker’s compensation insurance fund, with over $2B in invested assets and 60% market share; as well as the city’s quasi-public hospital system, serving the uninsured. In addition, she has given back to her community by sitting on the board of directors for the Metro Chamber of Commerce and serving as the Chair of the Small Business Resource Center.

She holds a BS in Human Resources Management and an MS in OrganizationLeadership.

Ms. Garcia is committed to the highest ethical standards of leadership for herself as well as her business and recently challenged herself by obtaining a certification in Sarbanes Oxley compliance which governs accountability and transparency in corporate executives.
