keys daily, as often as seeking an open door.

The First Key

Shine a light upon basic beliefsyou have beliefs about yourself, others, and the world. Are there any which are distorted, unhealthy, or false? If so, are you willing to confront and discard them.

What about emotions, beliefs, and expectations?

Such feelings as anger, anxiety, and rejection and other emotions can easily distort how you perceive yourself, how you perceive others, how you perceive the world, and the choices you make.

Emotions and feeling may be perplexing, explosive, and mislabeled.

Sadness, lethargy, and withdrawal may be mislabeled as depression.

Excitement, anticipation, and impatience may be mislabeled as anxiety.

Most people feel anger, and even rage, sometimes. However, no one has the absolute right or justification to act out every time they feel them.

Underneath most anger are hurt, disappointment, and unmet expectations.

The basic fact is that most feelings are temporary. They come and go.

The Second Key

Prohibit feelings, especially intense feelings, impulsively dictate your decisions and actions. Identifying consequences unlocks making wise and healthy decisions.

Wanting acceptance and caving into peer pressures may be powerful forces for making choices. Invent ways for combating peer pressure.

The Third Key

What about consuming alcohol and marijuana?

Some people believe that ingesting substances are the exclusive means and antidote for remedying boredom, chilling with friends, and feeling energetic. They believe that a party is not a party unless marijuana and alcohol are in the house.

Some people discover that consuming alcohol and marijuana merely disguises shyness, derails uncomfortable feelings, and dodges idleness.

Consuming substances may diminish motivation, focus, and productivity. Apathy, mediocrity, and stagnation may prevail.

Find healthy and substance-free ways for having fun, meeting social needs, and feeling calm.
