Vacation Bible School – Our VBS will be July 20-24. The theme is SonTreasure Island. VBS is for all children up through just completed 5th grade. If you would like to help with VBS, please contact Donna Simms or Pastor Bill. There are informational flyers on the back table to post around town and to give to parents and children you know.

The Story – On Sunday, July 27 we will begin a journey through The Story. We will start in Genesis and work our way to Revelation during this 31 week journey. In that time we will read portions of Scripture and examine many of the important characters and Bible stories that transmit pictures of God’s continuing love for us. As we take our journey through God’s story, we will use a special resource to facilitate the journey. The Story is an abridged, chronological Bible that reads like a novel. Copies of The Story are available here at a cost of just $8 each at the back of the sanctuary. Get a copy and read just chapter 1, “Creation: The Beginning of Life as We Know It,” by July 27.

“God make the door of this house we have raised to Thee wide enough

to receive all who need human love, fellowship and the Father’s care

and narrow enough to shut out envy, pride and hate.

Make its threshold smooth that it may be no stumbling block

to childhood, weakness or straying feet, but rugged and strong

enough to turn back the tempter’s power.

God, make the door of this house the gateway to Thy Eternal

Kingdom.”
