CLEO BRYAN AWARD

Established 1975

Background

This award is selected by the OEAFCS Executive Board by a nomination process.

Purpose

1.  To identify and recognize a member of the Oklahoma Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences for Outstanding service to the Association.

2.  To stimulate and encourage professional improvement.

Eligibility

1.  Have been a member of OEAFCS for a minimum of 5 years with additional credit being given for each additional year of service, and is currently participating in the program activities of the Association.

2.  Have a record that shows service to the Association thru:

A.  Offices held in OEAFCS.

B.  Committees served on in OEAFCS.

3.  Show evidence of professional growth:

A.  Number of state meetings attended

B.  Number of national meetings attended

C.  Worked toward advanced degree

D.  Membership and activities in related professional organizations

4.  Display evidence of a professional attitude toward the Association and the Extension Service.

5.  A member may receive the Cleo Bryan Scholarship only one time.

6.  The award shall be used for professional improvement – graduate study, study in another or state, attendance at NEAFCS, etc.

Selection Committee/Judging Criteria

The Executive officers of the Oklahoma Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences will select the member to receive the award based on the following score card.

Professional improvement 25 pts

Professional attitude 25pts

100 pts
