OFFICER CANDIDATE SCHOOL (OCS) OPEN AND AVAILABLE FOR QUALIFIED FLEET SAILORS

Command Leaders, Command Career Counselors, Fleet Sailors,
Navy Recruiting Command (NRC) continues to accept applications for review, consideration, and possible selection to fill CY2014 and CY2015 shipping quotas to Officer Candidate School (OCS) in the September 2014 – March 2015 timeframe. The following officer programs and designators are open and accepting applications from qualified Fleet Sailors:
- Surface Warfare Officer – to include SWO-EDO Option, SWO-IP Option, SWO-OCEANO option,
and SWO-IW Option
- Submarine Warfare Officer
- Special Warfare (SEAL) Officer
- EOD – Explosive Ordnance Officer
- Pilot – we are especially in need of Pilot applications!
- Naval Flight Officer (NFO) – we are especially in need of NFO applications!
*** Please note that over the last few boards, qualified Fleet Sailors have experienced selection rates of over 50% when applying for Pilot and NFO! Now is a great time to apply for Pilot and NFO! ***
- AMDO – Aviation Maintenance Duty Officer
- PAO – Public Affairs Officer
- OCEANO – Oceanographic Officer
- Info Warfare Officer
- Info Professional Officer
- Intelligence Officer
- Civil Engineering Corps (CEC) Officer
- Supply Corps Officer
If selected for OCS into one of these officer designators, shipping would MOST LIKELY occur between September 2014 and March 2015 depending on availability, operational command schedules, and accession goals and requirements.
We are looking to fill these OCS officer program quotas with qualified and motivated Enlisted Sailors that have documented sustained superior performance, who meet all eligibility criteria defined within OPNAVINST 1420.1B, and meet all eligibility criteria defined within each respective Program Authorizations (PA) for each respective designator/program, which can be found at: http://www.cnrc.navy.mil/Program-Authorizations.htm.
