Community Concerns/ Issue Exploration: (30mins)

-  ECC Room Naming Discussion Recap

o  Forum on April 4th at 4pm in 711E

o  Wanted to move with 5 rooms

§  Will split Asian and Pacific Islander

§  Dr. Sheila will now be overseeing the process

§  Forum is open to everyone

-  SAB Structure Discussion

o  Some individuals are confused on how SAB works

o  SAB officers will be conducting mini meeting discussion to talk about SAB

§  Date and time: TBD

o  Will be publishing out a letter to ECC Community about SAB

-  The Daily Training

o  Issue with using Gender Neutral Pronouns

§  The Daily says that it’s not proper to use certain pronouns

§  Need to come up with a proper resolution to solve this without telling them how to do their jobs

Vice President’s Corner: Updates? (25mins)

-  New Building Site for UWPD

o  Was asked to go back and look at the other options since some students were concerned that they were looking into moving UWPD across the ECC

o  Will reexamine the original 16? Sites

o  Will form a committee including different communities (Greek, RHSA, SAB, Legacy Groups, ASUW, etc)

-  ECC Naming Issue

o  Had a number of meetings about the ECC Room Naming, including one with PI Community

§  Came up with options for the 5th meeting space via using some of the student offices

o  Will be impossible to start over because of the building

§  Delay = more money

o  There will be a meeting to decide as a community to talk about the placement of rooms

§  This Friday at 4pm

o  Need to realize that the whole building is for everyone at the ECC

-  ECC is hiring

o  New jobs have opened up due to some staff is moving on

§  Maggie will take care, and so she will not do advising

§  There are other advisors available – see Marissa or Jessica

-  Student Conduct Code Presentation (handout will be emailed)

o  ASUW Director of Policy and Procedures – Bill Dow

§  A document in Washington State Law that governs student conduct/behavior on/off campus

·  From fighting to harassment to stalking

§  Revised since Nov 2010

·  Now address issues that covers allegations between UW community members and cyber stalking

§  Still gathering information and will make this campus wide in the near future
