Organization Information:

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded at Howard University in 1920 on the precepts of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. This award is offered by the Eta Sigma Zeta Chapter to provide financial assistance and motivation to students pursing higher education endeavors.

Award Amount: The amount of this award is determined by the Sorority’s scholarship fundraisers.

Eligibility: To be eligible for this award:

1.  Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of a 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)

2.  Applicants must be a female senior at an Arkansas High School, graduating in the spring of 2017

3.  Must enroll in and attend an accredited 4 –year Arkansas College or University in the fall of 2017.

Basis of Selection: The following criteria will be taken into consideration in selecting award recipients:

1.  Academic Achievement

2.  Community service and Leadership

3.  Letters of Recommendations

4.  Need

Application Procedure: To be considered, the following must be received by: April 12, 2017.

1.  Completed application with essay (incomplete applications will not be considered)

Winners will be notified by April 22, 2017 (approx.) and invited to attend our Annual Scholarship Pageant, scheduled for Saturday, May 6, 2017, where the scholarship winners will be recognized.
