October 16-23 Plans and Homework
Juniors! You rock! I mean that truly
(I am sorry that I have missed so much time. It kills me to miss time with my student; however this year I finally fell victim to The IB Plague. Hope you stay safe )
2A, 2B & 4B History of the Americas should know or be aware of the following.
This crazy October something week:
October 15 A Day & October 16 B Day: (Please note—A Day is a lesson behind in the political content but a day ahead in Douglass)adjust your reading accordingly, please.
- Have half of Chapter 17, “Manifest Destiny and Its Legacy, 1841- 1848,” from the American Pageant
- Collin or Mrs. Hall will review the building sectionalism of political parties that occur BEFORE your reading. We don’t want you to have to read much more text—but you need to know the context for the growing sectionalism that ultimately turns into, after many twists and turns—the United States Civil War.
- Discuss MOST of Frederick Douglass Chapter X. 2A did a fantastic thorough showing of this task. 2B—So sorry, my fault, we didn’t get to the BEST parts—but we will. 4B—awesome. You got the summary, spark notes or whatever of the political arena and Freddy in one class—wow!
- Homework for all classes: I know I will not be able to see 2A on Monday, October 19. (Bloody . . .@$#%%^^) I will see you on—Wednesday, so adjust this homework/calendar to your situation please
