o  Welcome Bill and Lance, advisors for Students Affairs

§  Get to know them, they are great resources!

o  Refer to Johnathan

§  Amendments to article 4 of BILL-2017-090.

·  I encourage you to reflect on this amendment and have a collaborate effort to work on it.

·  The purpose was to allow the court of appeals to review actions taken by student senate to make sure they comply with the student bill of rights.

·  Presently our court cannot invalidate bills passed. It might be an issue in the future.

·  One feature for this committee, the president may choose and interview people and make a nomination to the senate. This will allow the committee to create a recommendation that will form a list that the president may choose from for a nominee that the senate may then elect

·  This will create more involvement with a committee.

o  New members- Plethora of senator positions are open! Check the senate website and reach out to Chief of staff about applying!

o  New members have voting rights!

·  Adam Steinhilber– Vice Chair

o  I’m here to help new members. We have a sheet to help understand how the committee runs. If you have any questions, ask me!
