CHOIR REHEARSAL & FESTIVAL REMINDER

·  Thursday, April 6th, 7:30 a.m., Rehearsal & Concert for Frank Teachers

and Students during school day.

o  Wear Choir T-Shirt, black pants, shoes, socks.

·  Thursday, April 6th, Evening, Concert for Parents, Family & Friends

6:30 p.m. report time for Choir Members, Concert at 7:00 p.m.

o  Wear Choir TUX-Shirt, black pants, shoes, socks.

Saturday, April 8th, Performance & Competition

at Children’s Music Festival of Houston

Report at 7:20 a.m. at the M.O. Campbell Educational Center in the Aldine Independent School District. Parents are responsible for their child’s transportation to this event. This allows you to leave immediately following the performance.

o  Please be prompt, as we must distribute cummerbunds and bowties prior to warming-up.

Students wear: TUX SHIRT, black pants, black socks, black shoes

Meet Mrs. Sharp & Ms. Urban on the WEST side of the Center, next to the ramp.

o  We encourage you to stay for your child’s performance in Room 104 on the first floor (entrance on the West side of the building).

o  Once arrived, students will immediately find their cummerbund and bowtie and put it on, returning the Ziploc bag to the uniform bag/suitcase. This process will be completed inside the building as soon as we are allowed to enter.

o  We will be allowed to go up the ramp at 7:50 a.m. if not before. Parents may report to Room 104 at this time. If it is raining, choir members will meet on the West side of the building, but go immediately up the ramp to enter.

o  Warm-up begins at 8:00 a.m. and will be followed with our performance at 8:20 a.m.

o  Parents:

Immediately report to ROOM 104 AFTER checking your child in with us by the West Ramp for the Frank performance. The entrance for the Room 104 audience is on the west side of the building. Note: Other schools will perform in the Theatre.

o  We have been asked to inform you the doors will only be opened in between ensembles entering/exiting the stage. Please be sure to be seated early so you do not miss their performance.

o  Due to the competition setting and professional recording being made, small children who do not normally enjoy sitting quietly during a performance are asked to remain outside where they are more comfortable.

o  We will exit the stage and immediately exit the building to the grass by the ramp, where we originally met on the West Side.

o  After our performance, parents will meet us outside on the grass (where students were dropped off). Once students have returned their cummerbund and bowtie, they will be released to leave with their parents.

o  Pictures, Videos, and T-shirts are available for purchase at the festival.

·  Take I-45 South to Beltway 8 East (Left onto the beltway)

·  Take Beltway 8 East and exit at Aldine Westfield Road

·  Stay on feeder and turn right on Aldine Westfield Road

·  Turn right at the next light, which is Aldine Bender.

·  M.O. Campbell Educational Center is the large building on the right.

·  The address is: 1865 Aldine Bender, Houston, TX 77032

·  Performers in Room 104 should drive past M.O. Campbell and park on the west side of the building.

Performers in the Theatre should enter the first parking lot and park on the east side of the building.
