O. Fournier, present for the fifth time at the Wine Spectator Grand Tour,

and for the second time at the Decanter New World Encounter

Receives Five Star Decanter Trophy for its Alfa Crux Blend 2003 and 2004

Along with other eight Argentine and 10 Spanish wineries, O. Fournier has been present at the Wine Spectator Grand Tour for the fifth consecutive year. The Wine Spectator Grand Tour is an event of great importance for both distributors and customers with large attending crowds. In 2009, the tour included events in Atlantic City, Chicago and Las Vegas. There were 213 wineries invited to this event.

The Wine Spectator Grand Tour is a yearly event where wineries from different parts of the world are selected and invited to attend. They represent an exclusive group of wineries such us Chateau Margaux, Mouton Rothchild, Lafite Rothchild, Haut- Brion, Caymus, Vega Sicilia, Gaja, Concha y Toro. O. Fournier was one of the twowinery groups to present wines from two countries.

From Argentina, O. Fournier showed its Alfa Crux Blend 2004 during the Tour. This blend incorporates 50% Tempranillo, 40% Malbec and 10% Merlot from old vines averaging 42 years of age exclusively from the Uco Valley in Mendoza. It was aged for 20 months in new French oak barrels. Alfa Crux Blend 2004 no only obtained 92 points from Wine Spectator but also received Five Stars Decanter Trophy from Decanter magazine, being the only Argentine blend to receive this recognition.

O. Fournier was also delighted to show its O. Fournier Ribera 2004 from its Spanish winery. This wine recently received 95 points from Wine Spectator positioning it as one of the top three Spanish wines tasted during 2008 and 2009. O. Fournier Ribera 2004, from 100% Tinta del Pais grapes, was aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels. The grapes came from a block of the O. Fournier property in Ribera del Duero planted 70 years ago, yielding only one tonne per acre.

O. Fournier was also invited to participate for the second time in the “Decanter New World Encounter”.After being present last year at the “Decanter Fine Wine Encounter”, O. Fournier presented its wines at this prestigious event. As with the Wine Spectator Grand Tour, wineries can only attend after having been invited be the organizers as to represent the best in the New World among influential media representatives as well as customers. A very limited amount of Argentine wineries were invited and participated in this event. One of the O. Fournier wines, Alfa Crux Blend 2002 was also selected by the prestigious wine journalist, Peter Richards, for a Masterclass on Top South American wines.

From Decanter, O. Fournier´s Alfa Crux Blend 2003 and 2004 both received Five Star Decanter Trophy in the latest Argentine supplement of this prestigious magazine. O. Fournier was one of only two wineries which received five stars for its two wines.
