Mini Research Assignment

Requirements for the Assignment:

As part of the course requirements for FCWR 101, we will have a mini-research paper. This paper will follow the exact same rules and guidelines we have been learning and practicing for academic essay writing. However, there is one main difference. This will include research. That is, this paper will be a mini academic research paper. This is a 2 draft research writing assignment where the first and second draft is worth 10% each and the completed research paper 20% making the research paper in total 40% of your grade.

Please Note:

·  1st draft must be submitted in SOFT and HARD COPY

·  2nd draft will be submitted as SOFT and HARD COPY

·  The 2 drafts for this assignment mean that you will receive feedback twice and the final feedback and the final draft will remain with me, together with your previous drafts and your graded essay exams that you will submit with the final research paper.

  1. Submit 1st draft (deadline submission & return date to be announced) (10%)

2.  Submit 2nd draft (deadline submission & return date to be announced)

First draft to be submitted with this draft. (10%)

  1. Final submission of research paper (20%)

All drafts to be submitted with this paper – the soft copy and the copies of your essay exams.

Format should be as follows:

1.  Word process both drafts and final submission

2.  Use Times New Roman font style

3.  Use font size 12

4.  Double-space

5.  Follow the APA guidelines for a cover page and thoughout the research paper including your reference page

Please Note

As I grade your 2nd draft, I will be looking to see how much more improved it has become from your first draft. More importantly, however, I will be looking to see if all the errors from the 1st draft have been corrected and no new ones are present. I will also be looking to see if you have correctly applied what we covered in our class session concerning writing errors and what we said about appropriate research paper writing format. Therefore do not forget to submit your first draft with your second draft. Failure to submit on time means no feedback and no grade!
