QUESTIONS ANSWERS

Pre - Site Visit Questions and Answers, dated 7 April 15

Question 1: Just wanted to know if we were allowed to take photos of the site while there on Thursday?

Answer 1: Any photos taken during the subject matter site visit shall be limited to the project site location(s) and material associated with FA4417-15-R-0012.

Post - Site Visit Questions and Answers, dated 17 April 15

Question 2: Is the NTP date the same as the contract award date? Or is NTP given at a later time? If NTP is given after the contract award date, when is the NTP typically given?

Answer 2: The Notice to Proceed (NTP) date is not the same as the contract award date. The NTP is a document that informs the contractor of when the Government wants a project to begin and end. The NTP is generally issued at the pre-performance conference after contract award.

Question 3: Drawing E-5 Note 1, we are to remove conduit. What repairs, if any, to the building are required when we remove the conduit from the exterior wall of Bldg 90759, near ACC-1 (Wall is built around conduit)

Answer 3: The disconnect and conduit back to the panel can be left in place, but the wire back to the panel and interior of the disconnect shall be removed and disconnect sealed. The conduit and wiring to the chiller shall be removed.

Question 4: Drawing E-5: Is there a connection to heat trace tape to be removed?

Answer 4: Existing heat trace circuit or controls circuit to chiller shall be removed back to source and conduit shall be cut and capped at the ground.

Question 5: AHU-1 has two 15hp fans with a VFD dedicated to each. In event of motor failure this unit will run at approximately 50% of capacity. Is this the designed intent?

Answer 5: Yes
