CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Construction is underway on our new school building! The dry weather has been a blessing in that the site work is already complete, and this week they want to start on the footers for the building. God has blessed us with this new building.

GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL

We are pleased to announce that University Christian High School’s candidates for Governors School are: Maggie Carter (Natural Science), Lark Bodnar (Drama) and Avery Guyer (Visual Arts). This program has limited funding, so only a percentage of the students nominated will be selected to attend.

MARCHING BAND OPPORTUNITY

Mr. Neil Underwood, the Lenior-Rhyne Marching Band Director, has invited all UCHS students who have played in a middle school band program to be in the LR Marching Band next fall. He hopes to have 100 members next year in the LR Marching Band. They will have a band camp in August and then practice after school twice a week and one evening a week. What a great opportunity for UCHS students who want that band experience.

FRIDAY SPIRIT DAYS

To promote school spirit, we encourage students to wear UCHS logo wear (including t-shirts) on Fridays. (T-shirts may not normally be worn to school.)

SPORTS WEBSITE

Check out the new UCHS Sports website. We have established a link from our school website to that website under the “Athletics” tab or go directly to: http://uchsathletics.com. It is loaded with many pictures of our athletes, articles on our sports teams, and the winter sports calendar.
