NOTORIOUS AUTOLIFTER ARRESTED : FOUR CASES WORKED OUT : FOUR VEHICLES RECOVERED

With the arrest of One Danish, aged about 22 years s/o Rashid Ali r/o C-41, Gali No. 1, Mustafabad, PS Karawal Nagar Delhi, North East District police has arrested a notorious auto-lifter and BC of PS Karawal Nagar, Delhi. Four cases of MV theft have been solved with his arrest and four stolen vehicles have been recovered at his instance.

TEAM & INCIDENT

Keeping in view the sudden spurt in incidents of MV theft in the District, a special team of PS Gokal Puri comprising Insp Tilak Chand, SHO Gokal Puri, SI Gaurav, HC Lokender, HC Ravinder, Cts, Narender, Pramod, Shamim, Manish and Ct. Samay under the close supervision of Shri B.S.Ahlawat, ACP/Khajuri Khas was constituted to collect information about the gangs of auto-lifters active in the area of North East District.

On 12-01-13 secret information was received by Ct. Narender and Ct. Pramod that a person would come on a stolen scooter near Madras Hotel Brij Puri looking. The information was verified. On the basis of secret information, a trap was laid and at the instance of the informer, a person coming on a Honda Eterno scooter was signalled to stop and asked to produce the documents of the motorcycle but he neither produced any document nor gave any satisfactory reply regarding the ownership of the vehicle. Ther person was identified as Danish, aged about 22 years s/o Rashid Ali r/o C-41, Gali No. 1, Mustafabad, PS Karawal NagarDelhi. On further verification, the scooter was found to be stolen from the area of PS Darya Farsh Bazar Delhi vide FIR No.481/12 U/S 379 IPC was already found registered at PS Farsh Bazar. The auto lifter was arrested u/s 41.1 (D) CrPC.

INTERROGATION

The accused was subjected to sustained interrogation. During interrogation he disclosed that he has previously committed auto-thefts in various parts of Delhi and he is a Bad Character of PS Karawal Nagar Delhi. At the instance of the accused, one Passion-Plus motorcycle, one TVS Flame Motorcycle and One Bajaj CT-100 Motorcycle stolen from the area of PS Krishna Nagar and PS Bhajan Pura were also recovered.

Crime OF A AUTOLIFTER BUSTED

Major Highlights:

ith the arrest of accused namely Pramod S/o lt. Sh. Ram Singh (27yrs.) R/o Village-Nayal, PS- Kher, Distt. Aligarh (UP). Officials of Police Station Pul Prahlad Pur unearthed a crime indulging in auto lifting from interstate i.e. Delhi, Rajasthan, UP and disposing off the same.

INCIDENT

On 12.01.2013, Hc Sharwan, Hc Naem Ct. Parveen, Ct Manoj, and other staff were on M/Cycle checking duty at Okhla T-point, M.B. Road, New Delhi. The staff was checking M/Cycles coming from Mehrauli side. At about 3.00 PM informer informed that a M/Cycle dark blue colour Hero Honda passion bearing registration No. DL-3SBE-9592 will come from Okhla side, which could be stolen M/Cycle. At about 4:00PM a M/Cycle having the similar specification and registration number so rendered by the informer was found coming from Okhla side, which was signaled to stop, but the rider of the M/Cycle tried to escape the check, on which barricades were placed and the M/Cycle was forced to stop and the rider of the M/Cycle was identified as Pramod S/o Lt. Sh. Ram Singh (27yrs.). The rider was directed to produce the documents in respect of the M/Cycle. He could not produce any of the documents to the police party. On scrutiny of the official record it revealed that the said M/Cycle i.e. M/Cycle make Hero Honda passion dark blue Colour was found to be stolen vide FIR No. 02/13 U/S 379 PS Govind, New Delhi. Hence the accused has been arrested U/S 41.1(D) CrPC vide DD No. 29A Dated 12.01.2013 police Station Pul Prahladpur, New delhi.

Team and Operation

On receipt of the above information, the same was immediately communicated to Sh. Dharam Veer Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sub-Division Ambedkar Nagar, A team lead by Insp. Manoj Kumar, SI Kishore Kumar, ASI Dilbag Singh, HC Naeem, HC Sharawan, Ct. Manoj, Ct. Parveen and Ct. Anuj Kumar was constituted under close supervision of Insp. Dharam Dev, Station House Officer, PS Pul Prahlad Pur, and over all supervision of Sh. Dharamveer Joshi, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sub-Division Ambedkar Nagar.

MODUS OPERANDI

The accused was subjected to sustained interrogation by the team so formed. During interrogation accused Pramod S/o lt. Sh. Ram Singh (27yrs.) disclosed that he is unemployed and earlier he used to agricultural work at his native place Nayal, Aligarh (UP). Accused Pramod got married with a girl who was living in Delhi and they started living in the house owned by his father at Sangam Vihar. There after his father sold his house and he along with his wife went to his native place. His wife was very annoyed with his Father-in-law as she was not willing to live in the village and due to him only she was compelled to live in the village. So the accused along with his wife murdered his father with a fawda. They both were arrested and after some time were released on bail. After that accused along with his wife came to Delhi. He indulged in auto lifting to fulfill their demands of lavish life style. The accused started auto lifting along with his associate Ashok and used to steal the M/Cycles from Delhi, Rajasthan, UP and started disposing off in adjoining area of his native village.

INVESTIGATION

During investigation the accused was subjected to sustained interrogation. During interrogation he disclosed that he had stolen 10 M/Cycles from different parts of Delhi, Rajasthan, UP NCR. Accused person led the police party to different parts of Distt. Aligarh (UP) and got recovered 9 stolen M/Cycles where from.

With the arrest of this accused person ten cases have been worked out. Further investigation of the case is going on. Efforts are being made to further arrest his associates and to make further recoveries Antecedents of the accused are being verified.

LADY PICK POCKET ARRESTED FROM BUSY SAROJINI NAGAR MARKET AND STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERED

Staff of PS Sarojini Nagar, South District have arrested a lady pock-pocket namely Anita (40 years) w/o Mahesh Kumar r/o Village Ferozpur, Palwal, Haryana who was operating in the busy Sarojini Nagar Market and recovered stolen property.

BRIEF FACTS :

There had been instances of pick-pocketing in the Sarojini Nagar Market on the weekends and holidays in which mobile phones and small purses were stolen. In order to curb such incidents, informers in plain clothes were deployed in the market to keep close watch over the activities of suspicious women moving around.

On 13th January 2013, Ms. Rakhi r/o Durga Vihar, Khanpur, Delhi had come to Sarojini Nagar Market for shopping along with her friends. While they were shopping in the market, the complainant noticed that a woman was holding her purse in her hand. An informer who was standing nearby had also noticed the activities of that woman and brought the facts to the notice of the complainant. The complainant raised an alarm to which Ct. Devender No. 3291/SD, Beat Officer of the Sarojini Nagar Market, who was nearby patrolling responded immediately and apprehended the accused. Apart from the purse of the complainant containing Rs. 1,000/-, two more stolen purses were also recovered from the possession of the accused. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 16/13 dated 13.01.13 u/s. 379/411 IPC PS Sarojini Nagar was registered on the statement of the complainant and accused was arrested.

MODUS OPERANDI:

During interrogation, it was revealed that accused Manju was running a gang of pick pockets, operating in the busy markets. She had come to Sarojini Nagar Market along with her associates namely Reshma and Kavita, both r/o Faridabad. They used to assemble near Hazrat Nizammudding Railway Station to target the innocent people. The gang used to operate in the busy markets such as Sarojini Nagar, Lajpat Nagar and Greater Kailash during weekends and used to steal purses and mobile phones. Another modus operandi is that they used to involve minors in commission of crime. The minor children used to jostle around the victims to divert their attention and the kingpin and her associates used to steal by inflicting a cut in the bags by a small blade, carried by them in their fingers.

During interrogation, accused further confessed that she had stolen money from the purse of a female in the Sarojini Nagar Market and passed over the money to her accomplice. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 17/13 u/s 379 IPC PS Sarojini Nagar was registered ion the complaint of Smt. Sunita r/o Kishangarh, Delhi. Further investigation is in progress.
