Tuesday, October 11, 2016 – Last Day to Register forthe
November 8, 2016General Election
A General Election will be held in all voting precincts of this state on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at which time candidates of the Republican Party, Democratic Party, Libertarian Party, US Taxpayers Party, Green Party, Natural Law Party and Working Class Party and candidates without political party affiliation who seek election to the following partisan offices are to be voted for in Marquette County:
Electors of President and Vice-President of the United States, Representative in Congress, Representative in State Legislature, Member of the State Board of Education, Regent of the University of Michigan, Trustee of Michigan State University, Governor of Wayne State University, County Offices, Township Offices and such other partisan offices that may by law be required to be filled at this election. Candidates seeking election to the following nonpartisan offices: Justice of Supreme Court, Judge of the Court of Appeals-4th District, 96thDistrict Court Judge, Various School Boards, Ishpeming City Council, Ishpeming Board of Review, and other nonpartisan offices that by law be required to be filled at this election.

As provided by Section 498, Act No. 116, Public Acts of 1954 as Amended.
For the purposes of REVIEWING the REGISTRATION and REGISTERING such of the qualified electors in said TOWNSHIP OR CITY as SHALL PROPERLY apply therefore. The name of no person but an ACTUAL RESIDENT of the precinct at the time of registration and entitled under the Constitution, if remaining such resident, to vote at the next election, shall be entered in the registration book.
