Notice of Annual School Election

NOTICE OF ANNUAL SCHOOL ELECTION

Notice is hereby given by the undersigned Election Administrator, acting on behalf of the three(3) School Districts listed below, Sanders County, State of Montana that the Annual School Trustee and Levy Elections will beheld on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, by mail ballot. Ballots may be returned by mail or dropped off at the following location, during the following times:

Electors will consider the following positions and issues at the specified election:

Noxon School District No.10

Two (2) 3-year positions (Noxon Elementary & High School Trustees)

One (1) 2-year position (Noxon Elementary & High School Trustee)

One (1) 3-year position (Noxon High School Trustee from Trout Creek)

Mill levy proposition to finance the school’s Elementary Technology Fund

Mill levy proposition to finance the school’s High School Technology Fund

Thompson Falls School District No. 2

Two (2) 3-year Positions (Trustee)

Trout Creek School District No. 6

Mill levy proposition to finance the school’s Elementary Technology and Depreciation Fund

A qualified registered elector who will be absent from the district during the time the election is beingconducted may: a) vote in person in the election administrator’s office as soon as the ballots areavailable and until noon the day before the ballots are scheduled to be mailed; b) make a writtenrequest, signed by the applicant and addressed to the election administrator, that the ballot be mailedto an address other than the address that appears on the registration card. If you miss the regular registration deadline (April 9, 2018), you may still register for theelection by coming to the county election office up to and including on Election Day. Between noonand the close of business on the day before Election Day (May 7, 2018), you may complete and submit a voterregistration card, but you will need to return to the county election office on Election Day (May 8, 2018) to pick up andvote a ballot. The county election office is located at the address above.
