Club Junior Sprint Gala

On Sunday 25th February 2018, we will be holding our Junior Sprint Gala for all swimmers aged 9 and under (age as at December 31st 2018).

This is a great opportunity to introduce our young Swimmers to Gala racing. It enables them to obtain Personal Best times and helps Coaches, Parents & the Swimmers to monitor progress.Please note: We are seeking to license the 50m/9 yr old races and 100m IM to allow those times to be recorded on the ASA rankings system, but the 25m and younger swimmer races cannot be licensed.

The gala will be swum under Leyland Barracudas Junior Sprint Gala Rulesrev 2017.A copy of these is posted on the upstairs noticeboard and is available for download from the website.

Medals will be awarded to the top 3 in each event by age category (7under, 8 years & 9 years), except for 25m butterfly and 100m Individual medley. Certificates will also be awarded to those finishing in 4th and 5th positions in each event.

Entry fee £3.00per Event. No refunds once entry received.

Due to technical difficulties, we are not able to use electronic/website entry for this gala.

Please print and complete a paper entry form, to include completion of all fields, including the swimmer’s ASA number where this is known, and full date of birth.

Please ensure that the swimmers name is clearly shown on all entry forms and on the reverse of any cheques.

Please note that for the entry to be valid, the completed entry form needs to handed in by the closing date, together with the appropriate entry fee, to the competition secretary or any committee member.

Entries that are not accompanied by full payment will be rejected, and there are no exceptions for late entry.

Entries are at the discretion of the Chief Coach and Competition Secretary.

Warm-up will be 3:00pm.

Parents please note: On the day of Gala there will be an admission charge to spectate. The club does not attempt to make a profit from galas but does try to break even.
