ABOUT THE CLUB
The Ephrata Bowmen is an organization comprised of over 100 members with diversified interests in the sport of archery. Whether you wish to sharpen your hunting skills, compete in tournaments, or just shoot for fun, we extend an invitation to you to become a member. Our facilities are located at the base of the Ephrata Mountains at the corner of North Maple Street and Mohler Church Road in Ephrata. The facilities include an indoor range with 16 lanes at 20 yards, an outdoor practice range up to 80 yards, and a 28-target field course. The facilities are open to members anytime day or night, except during special events and league shoots.
Regular Membership: $40.00. Ephrata Rec Members, please deduct $30.00 for the above membership fees, if you are a full or basic member of the Ephrata Recreation Center. You are entitled to a $30.00 reduction in dues. All new applications will be subject to approval at the next monthly meeting. Our monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm. Membership runs from September 1st to August 31st the following year.
To obtain a membership card you must send a self addressed, stamped envelope along with your application and payment to the club treasurer, or attend the next meeting and pick it up in person. The attached waiver must be completed and returned in order for your membership to be valid.

+ CONSTITUTION OF
THE EPHRATA BOWMEN
EPHRATA, PA.
Article 1
Name
Section 1. The name of this organization shall be THE EPHRATA BOWMEN
Article 2
OBJECTIVE
Section 2. The purpose for which this organization is formed is to
advance the art, skill, practice and handicraft of archery
and archery hunting and the sponsoring of archery
tournaments and generally to increase and encourage
interest in archery. The organization does not
contemplate gain or profit, incidental ,or otherwise,
to it’s members.
Article 3
MEMBERSHIP
Sect. 1. Any person of good moral character shall be eligible for
membership regardless race, creed, color, sex, or
national origin, upon payment of membership dues.
Sect. 2 The Executive Committee may suspend any member
from the organization for conduct detrimental
to the interest of this organization after a hearing
before the Executive Committee pursuant to written
notice to such member setting forth the substance
and nature of the charges. Length of suspension or
possible expulsion will be determined at the next regular
meeting by majority vote using secret ballot. Member will
be allowed to address the club members before the vote.
Article 4
GOVERNMENT EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Sect. 1 The business of the organization shall be managed by a
President, Vice-President, Secretary and a Treasurer,
herein called by the ( Executive Committee.)
Sect. 2 The Executive Committee may disperse funds at a
Predetermined amount set forth in the By-Laws.

Article 5
OFFICERS AND DUTIES
Sect. 1 The officers of this club shall be elected by a majority
vote by ballot at the Aug. meeting of the club.
Sect. 2 The officers shall hold office for a term of one year and
may succeed themselves for an unlimited number of
terms .
Sect. 3 The President shall preside at all meetings of the club,
appoint all chairmen of committees, present awards and
prizes, and serve as a member of all committees. He
may call a special meeting of the club at any time upon
one week’s E-Mail notice to all members of the club
who have provided E-Mail addresses and the posting
of a special meeting notice on the club bulletin board.
Sect. 4 The Vice-President shall perform the duties of the
president in his or her absence. He shall also serve as the
Range Officer.
Sect. 5 The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings,
take charge of Correspondence, and keep all records of
the club.
Sect. 6 The Treasurer shall receive all dues, keeping a record of
who paid, pay all bills as approved by the club, keep an
itemized account of all funds and expenditures , and
submit a monthly account of them to the members at
each meeting.
6A Prior to the newly elected Treas. taking office the clubs
financial status shall be reviewed by at least one officer
and at least one member. Discrepancies shall be delt
with in an appropriate manner.
6B The Treas. will be responsible for having a Night Deposit
bag available at the conclusion of any fund raisers.
Sec. 7 The Range Officer shall supervise and take complete
charge of all ranges both indoors and outdoors, seeing to
their readiness and shall appoint such Assistants as he
deems necessary.
Article 6
GUEST
Sect. 1 Any member may invite one or more guests to
participate in any of the Clubs functions or to use the
Club’s equipment. These invitations, however are not
to exceed one time per individual guest. Each member
shall be responsible for all bills or damage done by their
guest.
Article 7
DUES
Sect. 1 Annual dues shall be fixed by the By-Laws.
Article 8
EFFICTIVE DATE
Sect. 1 This Constitution shall be effective after adoption by the
club at a regular scheduled meeting and approved by a
two-thirds majority vote.

Article 9
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Sect. 1 VOTING QUORUM, For a vote to be recognized at
least the following members must be present; President
or Vice- President, one other officer and five members.
Article 10
AMMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION
Sect. 1 The members of THE EPHRATA BOWMEN, may, by a
2\3 vote of the members present and voting, alter, or
amend the Constitution after presenting the change at any
three consecutive regular meetings, or special meetings
called for this purpose.
