Do I need CPR certification?

Not to register. CPR training will be offered during the course.

What certifications will I get?

CPR and First Responder upon course completion, and EMT-B after the MA state exam.

How long does EMT-B certification last?

Two years. Renewal is easy, so you can stay up-to-date for a long time!

Is the course really every day?

Yes, it certainly is. But the dorms, Valentine, and the athletic facilities are all open, so you’ll have plenty of relief.

Will I be qualified to work on an ambulance?

Yes! EMT-B is the minimum

level of certification

necessary to ride in an

ambulance in MA.

$540 for AC students

$55 for CPR course

INTERTERM EMT PROGRAM

Who should take this course?

Anyone who wants to know what to do when someone gets hurt should study to be an EMT - campers and hikers; people involved in outdoor activities and athletic events; police and fire-fighters; environmentally concerned people; allied health services, etc. Everyone can benefit from emergency medical knowledge.

If you want to know how to handle emergency situations, save lives, assist in delivering babies, and provide healthcare on a more advanced level, this course is for you!

Open to AC students, Five College students, and the community at large. Upon completion, you will be prepared to take the Massachusetts state exam.
