Neurofibromatosis, Inc. (NF, Inc.)* is proud to have Gillian Anderson serve as its honorary spokesperson. She has chosen NF, Inc. to direct her efforts in combating the disorder that affects her brother. For the past 6 years, the Official Gillian Anderson Website has raised over $600,000 to benefit this organization through an annual on-line auction of X-Files and other Gillian Anderson-related memorabilia. This June, the much-anticipated 7th Annual Gillian Anderson On-Line Auction will be hosted by Yahoo!®Auctions with proceeds once again benefiting NF, Inc.
The auction will also offer a number of varied items such as a Howler letter addressed to Ron from “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” a signed copy of the national bestseller “Small Wonder” by Barbara Kingsolver, a cast-signed script from the award winning soap, “All My Children,” “Xena, Warrior Princess” cast photos signed by Lucy Lawless, Renee O’Connor, and Alexandra Tydings. Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Julia Ormond, screenwriter Katherine Fugate, and authors Elizabeth Rosner and Sharon Olds have also donated signed items.
Unsigned items include an “About Schmidt” blanket, a “Lord of the Rings: Return of the King” sweatshirt, Industrial Light and Magic bags and t-shirt, and a “Star Wars” backpack.
Among the many autographed Gillian Anderson-related items being offered are five to-be-personalized photographs, her Oscar Party dress, two lip prints, a pair of her flip-flops, custom made keepsake tins, and “What the Night is For” memorabilia.

Neurofibromatosis, pronounced Neuro-fi-bro-ma-toe-sis), is a genetic disorder of the nervous system that causes tumors to form on the nerves anywhere in the body at any time. This progressive disorder affects all ethnic races and both sexes equally. Half of NF cases are caused by a new gene mutation and are not inherited.
