NORTHLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL INTRAMURAL CLUB

SPRING SESSION

Your child has expressed an interest in joining the NMS Intramural Club for the Spring session- Basketball & Swimming. In this club we hope to introduce your child to the sport of competitive swimming or perfect their current ability level as well as skills of basketball. The first half of Intramural-Spring will be Basketball and will run from 3:00pm-3:40pm. Students may get the late bus home or must be picked up no later than 4:00pm. The second half of Intramural-Spring will be (SWIMMING ONLY) & will meet from 3:00pm-4:00pm. Students must be picked up no later than 4:15pm. Bus transportation will not be provided.

Meeting Dates:

Basketball April 27th & May 3rd

Swimming May 9, 18, 25 & June 1

Rules:

1.  Students must be able to swim one lap of the pool (25 yards) with their face in the water in a proficient manner. Please note- the pool goes to a depth of over 10 feet.

2.  If Mr. Campbell or Ms. Genovese is absent from school, Intramural club will be cancelled for that day.

3.  The student must attend each day unless he/she is absent from school or a parent note is provided.

4.  Missing one day without having a parent note or being absent from school may result in the child’s dismissal from the Intramural club.

5.  If a student decides to withdraw from the club, the student must notify Mr. Campbell or Ms. Genovese.

6.  All school rules are in effect.

7.  You may not play a Northley sport and participate in the Intramural club during the same season.

8.  Students must supply their own suit and towel
