Junior Hockey at North West Hobart Graduates begins with the Stick2Hockey Program. It is a roster played over 5 weeks each term. All teams are mixed and children are encouraged to come along and have a go.
There are three age groups:
- Mini 5’s suitable for Ages 6-8 played on1/8 field – 5 a side
- Super 6’s suitable for Ages 8-10 played on1/4 field – 6 a side
- Hockey7’s suitable for Ages 10 plus played on1/2 field – 7 a side

- Term 3 – Stick2Hockey Winter RosterSaturday, 28 July to 25 Aug 2018 1.15pm to 4.30pm
- Term 4 – Stick2Hockey Summer RosterSaturday, 3 Nov – 1 Dec 2018 2.00pm to 4.00pm

Stick2 Hockey Playing Rosters
The 2018Stick2Hockey Playing Rosters will be advised to all parents when the official roster is released by Hockey Tasmania.
Coaches and contact details for all teams will be advised shortly.

Playing Fees and Uniform for Stick2Hockey
Approximate Cost: $30 per term. Playing shirts are provided, on loan, by the club for all players in these teams. Club socks are available for purchase via our uniform co-ordinatorKaren Arthur , 0437 625 257 or by using the order form on the bulldogs website
Registration
All juniors that play must be registered. Registrations must be done via the Hockey Taswebsite. Details are available on the North West Hobart Graduates web site at You will need to have a credit card handy to pay for a deposit upfront which will cover the Tasmanian Hockey Centre component (including insurance) of your hockey fees for the 2018 season.It is requested for billing purposes that the parent/guardian email is used when registering you child not the child’s email address.
Club Registration Day
Club Registration day willTuesday 13 February 5 – 6:30pm, in conjunction with our first Junior Dog Squad. Registration must be done online, however NWG committee members will be in attendance at the THC to help you register and provide you with more information on the 2018 season.

Bulldogs 2018 Junior Development ProgramsTo kick start our 2018 season we will again be having our 'Junior Dog Squad' sessions and also our 'Junior Pre-Season Development sessions. These programs ensure that all juniors have access to Bulldogs development pre-season training sessions right from U8 to U18 boys and girls.
Bring your friends along – FREE Trial
Our Junior Dog Squad sessions are a great opportunity to bring your friends along to try hockey at no cost. They will need to have their own mouth guard and if possible shin pads and a stick. However, if they do not have a stick please our junior co-ordinator, Helen Wilkinson or Angela Jenkins know and they can arrange for a stick to be loaned to the player for the sessions.

Junior Dog Squad Session Dates and Times
The sessions will commence on Tuesday 13 February 2018and will run every Tuesday until the commencement of the Stick2 Hockey season on 7 March 2018. All development sessions will be run at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre on THC 1.
This program is aimed at our more junior players U8, U10, U13 - Beginners 1 year or less hockey experience.
These sessions will be run by our Bulldogs dedicated coaches and mentors from our 2018 coaching list and Premier League players. This will give each child an opportunity to have quality coaching to strengthen and improve fundamental hockey skills key to developing confidence and safe tackling practices for the up and coming season and many seasons to come.
Junior Pre-Season Development Sessions
This program is aimed at our U13 to U18 Players who want to get a head start on the season, develop and strengthen skills. All levels of skills are encouraged to attend. These sessions will be run with the support of 2018 Junior Coaches and A-Pool coaching members and is a great chance to get to know your team mates, develop skills and have fun prior to starting the 2018 season.

Gate passes
Parents of children Playing Stick2Hockey are provided with gate passes. Normal entry to the Hockey Centre is $5.00 per entry. Junior Players under 18 years of age are not required to pay gate fees.
Junior Presentation Evening
A Junior Presentation evening is held at the end of the season (September each year) and playing medallions are awarded to all junior players including those that play Stick2Hockey.
Club Website, Newsletter and Social MediaThe North West Hobart Graduates has a variety of ways to get important information out to its members.
Facebook page for day to day information – just “like” the NWG Hockey Club page on Facebook to become a member. Our website, hosts a junior page where any important information about our juniors events will be posted throughout the year.
The North West Hobart Graduates also have a regular newsletter which is sent out to members throughout the hockey season. The newletter editor is Carolyn Scutt. To subscribe simply follow the links on our website. If you do not receive the newsletter and you or your child is a registered player, please contact to have your email address added to the distribution list.
Photos and Images of players
North West Hobart Graduates Hockey Club uses images taken at club events, clinics, games and trainings within its newsletter,website, Facebook page and other marketing material. If you do not consent to your child's image being used by NWHGHC complete the form available in the Junior zone on the club’s website to advise the club that you do not consent to the use of your child image.
