Stunt Group Category: We will be having a stunt group category for both JV and VARSITY. Please indicate which level and how many groups. These will be judged using the stunt rubric.

Spectator Fee:$5.00, Doors will open at 9am, COMPETITION begins at 10am!!

General Information:

Routine:

Please note: Each team will perform a routine not to exceed 2 ½ minutes. Entire 2 ½ minutes may now be performed to music, however, team members must recite cheer words during that time. The words must be performed only by the team members on the floor and cannot be voiced over in the music in any way. All music is not required, teams have the choice to do the traditional cheer/dance style & both styles compete together in the divisions. Time will begin with the first word, beat of music, or movement of the squad, once you are set in the competition area. When your name is called, please take the floor, set up signs, poms, etc. The only props allowed are signs, poms and megaphones. Please bring a back-up of your music.

Cafeteria:

*Please inform cheerleaders to leave valuables at home, we/host school will not be responsible for lost or stolen items. Secure locations may not be available for storage of belongings.

Rules/Scores:

*The National Federation Rules will be used as guidelines for judging and there are significant changes this year. Please note we are using the NYSPHSAA score sheet, brand new scoring rubric, and NYSPHSAA deductions sheet this year and they will be/are available for download on the Section III Cheerleading website.

Tentative Schedule:

9 – 9:30am: Teams check in and move to CAFETERIA

**Please be aware that we are NOT responsible for any lost or stolen items. Do not bring valuable items into the school.

9 – 10:00am: Teams may use this time to warm-up tumbling. Coaches must be present.

9:45am: Coaches and Judges Meeting in LGI

10:00 am: Doors open to spectators: $5 admission fee per person

10:00: JV division begins/AM division

12:30 – 1:00: Lunch Break

1:00: Varsity Division Begins

3:00: Awards

BUSSES and SPECTATORS:

Busses will pull up into the main circle of the JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL and teams will enter the front doors of the school. SPECTATORS will enter the school through the PE Doors around the back/side of the school. A map will

be e-mailed following registration! Also, busses will be parking in the DISTRICT OFFICE parking lot.

**A performance order will be e-mailed once all teams have registered. Most likely this will be the week before the competition. Please make sure your e mail is correct and legible!
