Course Objectives:

The purpose of physical education is for students to acquire the knowledge and skills for movement that provide the foundation for enjoyment, continued social development through physical activity, and access to a physically-active lifestyle.

Supplies:

1.  There will be a PE T-shirt which all students will receive the first week of school. This t-shirt comes with the PE fee. Students must wear the gray and blue Turner physical education T-shirt and their own athletic shorts or athletic pants (sweat pants, wind pants, yoga pants).

2.  There is a PE course fee of $20.00. Fees for all courses can be paid online through the parent Skyward access. Checks can be written to TCCHS PE Activity account and must include a driver’s license number on the check or it will not be accepted.

3.  A PE locker and combination will be issued.

4.  You will need to bring athletic type shoes and socks daily or bring a pair to keep in your PE locker at school.

If you have seen a doctor for you illness/injury, a doctor’s note will be required so that the instructor can safely accommodate your needs.

7.  If a student does not bring the appropriate clothes/shoes for PE participation, they must wear borrowed items from the coach and will be penalized with a maximum daily participation grade of 70. On the third and fourth instance of a student not bringing the appropriate clothes/shoes for participation, the maximum grade will be a 50. A fifth or further instance of not being prepared for class will result in additional consequences to be determined by the coach on an individual basis.
