  1. Rally Secretary’s Report:

Alan Frazer had booked a venue for Easter 2017 in Leicester and Pete has now contacted them.

The Bank Holidays are now more or less booked. Naseby has been booked for August Bank Holiday.

Herts have asked us to host the Cabaret Weekend in 2017 – possibly earlier in the year.

We are running Valentines next year hopefully at Linslade – if not Alameda. This year’s Valentines rally numbers were restricted with the new spacing regulations which resulted in the cost going up.

The Regional AGM will be held at Linslade –possibly 40 caravans – there is also a possibility of 15 pitches at the CL site next to the school

There are various irons in the fire – Halloween is ‘as is’ - next year we will make sure it is on the right weekend – possibly at St Leonards.

  1. Social Secretary’s Report:

Jason has bought some more lights.

We need to apply for an extra licence to use a music programme – Jason will look into the costs. We also need to book entertainment for the Regional and Valentines.

  1. H.C.I.R. Report:

A meeting is being held on 10th March when the venue and theme will be decided. Possibly Henlow, but the cost is around £2,000 + extras.

Westcott – on the way to Biscester is another possibility – There is an old clubhouse and Bucks use it – it takes around 70 caravans.

Gamlingay is also being considered although we would not be able to get in until the Friday evening.

  1. Regional Report:

A lady from the insurance section of the Caravan Club talked about the insurance offered by them – although more expensive, they do offer more.

  1. Website:

The site for the Regional and the cost is needed to go on, also the cost for New Year and the caravan limit.

Details of the Valentines rally will be added when available.

Dawn asked that we all keep an eye on the website to check things.

  1. Any Other Business:

£30 was raised for the Centre charity for the brandy donated by Tom Slender to raise a glass for Eddie Maguire.

Sue Beale suggested looking at Longleat for a rally.

Lorna Morison is training for the Brighton Marathon which she is running to raise funds for the Centre charity – Mandy has sponsorship forms.

‘Crouch’s Clothing’ bought in some samples - look really good quality.

Rally packs need to be downloaded from the website now.

We need to discuss New Year at the next meeting.

  1. Date of Next Meeting: Saturday 30th April at 10.00 at the Chairman’s and Juniors Rally – Sewards End

  1. Chairman’s Report:

Easter was a great success despite the weather – everyone made the most of it. The guided tour of the battlefields was enjoyed by those who participated.

The Chilli weekend at Moggerhanger was a lot of fun – Great night on the Saturday with the chilli and various games.

The venue for the Chairman and Junior Chair Rally had to be changed at the last minute as the field at Sewards End was waterlogged. We’ve had good feedback about this venue and could be a possibility for the AGM where we could use the kitchen. Staff very helpful and offered a more competitive price than Alameda.
