Normet Life Time Care Spare Parts Global Distribution Center in operation

A new era for Normet LTC (Life Time Care) business has begun on 1 September 2010, when the Global Distribution Centre (GDC) for spare parts began operations in Maarssen, the Netherlands. Simultaneously Normet spare parts business will be run from now on by Normet International of Switzerland.

The Global Distribution Center of spare parts is a key milestone in Normet's strategy of continuously improving the quality of customer services and solutions. Normet’s LTC business has been growing significantly, and this fact has been the main source for the new spare parts business and operation model. With the new GDC, Normet will be serving its customers even more efficiently with genuine top quality spare parts and with fast deliveries.

“Normet is now able to serve its customers with shorter response times and close later for same day deliveries”, says Mr Tom Melbye, the president of Normet Group. “The improvements will not stop at the 1 September milestone. We are constantly developing our services to improve the customer satisfaction. Operational processes are re-engineered, ICT tools updated and all business support functions established accordingly.”

The first deliveries have already been shipped to various customers in Europe and Asia. “Naturally we all are enthusiastic about this new operation”, says Pentti Köylijärvi, Director LTC at Normet. “Our expectations are high, and we are impatient to show our customers all the possibilities this new setup gives to our spare parts services”. The GDC is the hub from where the spare parts are dispatched to customers all over the world, either directly or via local Normet distribution centres. The GDC in Maarssen is located about half an hour from Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport and has excellent road and sea connections for Europe and worldwide.
