A one stop shop for all testing and certification requirements
Uster, Switzerland – October, 2009 – In the process of integrating the Zweigle products into the USTER® portfolio very important improvements were made to the Zweigle testing instruments. USTER®’s state of the art know-how and manufacturing facilities provided the necessary tools to bring the new equipment to a level of reliability in line with that which the industry expects from USTER®. Additionally, further improvements were implemented to assure that the Zweigle products have the consistency (instrument to instrument) and repeatability of test results that will conform to the standards required by USTER®STATISTICS - the undisputed industry standard.
Recently Mr. and Mrs. Zweigle visited USTER® to see first hand the improvements and current status of the integration. They were particularly impressed with the numerous technical improvements that USTER® has made in regards to accuracy and reproducibility of the test results. Of particular importance and source of pride to them was that traditional quality parameters provided by Zweigle equipment, such as twist, will now be fully integrated into the USTER®STATISTICS.
With over 60 years of experience in high-end electronic testing systems USTER® has a comprehensive understanding of its customer’s processes and operations and can facilitate quality cost optimization along the entire textile supply chain. Uster Technologies Ltd acquired the product range of Zweigle in May 2009. Zweigle, a German manufacturer with over 90 years of experience, was a producer of high quality specialized yarn testing equipment.
The acquisition strengthens Uster Technologies’ position as the world leader and authority in yarn testing and certification. The additional Zweigle products complement the USTER® product line and provide customers the advantage of a “one stop shop” for all their yarn testing requirements in the laboratory. With an unmatched correlation of quality data gathered by USTER® online systems, together with those gathered off-line in the laboratory, Uster Technologies Ltd is the only company in a position to offer total quality testing instrumentation for the industry.
