Meeting called to order by HSC President Erin Atkinson at 8:07 am.

  1. Welcome & Introductions of attendee’s

  3. A motion was made to approve the September meeting minutes with a corrected date change Sept 4, 2015, 2nd and approved
  4. 2015/2016 Bylaws
  5. Revert 6, article x finances: section 3: Disbursement. Improve wording on Project Cornerstone. Motion to approve with changes, 2nd and approved.
  6. District Report
  7. United way Read across America March 2 – flyer to come out, sign up sheet, promote it and activities.
  8. Inclusion Park 2 acre – Community Park able to meet the needs of special needs/veterans
  9. PV – Engineering Focused academy, Glen Webb schools don’t need to be focused to be great.
  10. Rotary grant submission for the help in purchasing aSmartBoard for Miss Green’s Autistic class
  11. Requesting funding to offset the costs of purchasing a additional SmartBoard
  12. Parker needs hers to be replaced
  13. Community Meeting on the new MPR
  14. Earliest construction could be End of 2016
  1. Principal’s Report – Mrs. Grove
  2. Hydration Station installed, not ideal location rear hall inMPR, the doors are kept open. Request additional Stations
  3. Teachers Writing instructional rounds each school develop, plan and focus on a certain aspect. Collaborating with similar schools Nordstrom, Paradise Valley, Los Paseo and Martin Murphy, it turns out that all schools chose to focus on academic language and oral expression. This was implement with strategies/modeling in classrooms immediately. Parents can help by setting expectations and raising the level of language requirements.
  4. Fingerprinting - Parent Volunteer Recruitment (TB tested and Finger Printed) Currently using the Yard Duty staff $52 per person, Scan must done in MHUSD, no decision yet from district, no timeline.

  3. 33 Chrome-boxes ($4000) replace 1st and 2nd grade classrooms computer (30) bought 5 additional to finish off 3rd grade
  4. Coordinate with the district (Jim Carrillo) once or twice a week conversation, helping with the backend
  5. 2 parents Macy and Deborah are helping to teach the Google environment to the teachers
  6. Original 15 classroom printers now 3 high speed printers they will be located in the MPR, Resource Center and Library, networked and Google cloud print.
  7. Teachers-SmartBoard Computer replacement (slow old) $500 per system, $10,000 upgrade can spread out over a few years
  8. SmartBoardpurchase for Parker’s class. Motion to use the surplus fund, 2nd and approved.
