“Welcome to the Vermont Voltage Youth Soccer Club 2012 season!”
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Vermont Voltage Youth Soccer Club (Junior Voltage) is to promote the sport of soccer throughout northern Vermont and northeastern New York and to build a supportive, learning environment where kids can develop their soccer and life skills. Soccer will be the basis for teaching honor, integrity, cooperation, commitment, and good will through victory and defeat. Junior Voltage aims to provide our players with the highest level of soccer, coaching, facilities, and play available. Junior Voltage strives in every word, action, and deed to become a leader in the development of youth soccer players by continually raising the standards of players and of coaches in our communities. It is our hope that each player develops a passion for the game that provides him or her with a lifetime of playing, watching, and loving soccer.
GUIDELINE OF STANDARDS
Junior Voltageteams will consistently strive for excellence in practices and games andpositively represent Vermont through on-field sportsmanship and as good role models off-field. Our club focuses on significant playerdevelopment toward the goal of playing at the premier/senior level and participating in competitive play across the nation. For our experienced Junior Voltageplayers (U12+), we offer structured trainingand opportunities for competitive play. For our youngerJunior Voltageplayers, we introduce soccer, the world’smost beloved sport, and teach our children in a fun-filled and physically healthy environment. Junior Voltage is committed to the development of the individual within the program, both skill-wise and personally.The combination of talented, dedicated players; supportive parents; quality coaching; and strong managementequals a successful program.
Junior Voltage is dedicated to the development of soccer players to the highest level possible. Because of that goal, Voltage must maintain standards that enable the club, coaches, and players to participate at what is consideredthe highest level of youth soccer. Participating at the highest level of competition requires ability,commitment, and behavior that go far beyond that of a recreational focus. Therefore, to help establish andmaintain that guideline of standards, this Player/Parent contract must be read, fully understood, andagreed by all Voltage players and families.
EXPECTATIONS OF OUR PLAYERS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
1.Outdoor–Players that choose to join the Junior Voltage Program for the outdoor season must make Junior Voltagetheir team of priorityduring these months (Late April – Late June).
2. Every effort should be made to make soccer your sport of priority during the outdoor season.
3. Always do your best.
4. Stay physically and mentally fit.
5. All absences or lateness must be made known to the head coach.
6. Actions and language deemed inappropriate will not be permitted.
7. Appropriate behavior and language are expected at all times, exhibited by positive and cooperative
attitude and actions.
VOLTAGE SOCCER CLUB’S COMMITMENT TO YOU
OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU:
1. Prepare and provide theme based training sessions.
2. Provide an organized approach to training andtraveling.
3. Play our part in developing the “whole” individualthrough the medium of sports.
4. Provide age appropriate technical and tacticaltraining.
5. Encourage an open communications policy.
WHAT WE WON’T COMMIT TO:
1. Allow players to play the positions they want at the expense of the team.
2. Compromising the greater good of team or club to satisfy a player/parent.
DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY
Use or possession of any alcohol, tobacco product, or any illegal substance, at any Club sponsored function,by any Voltage player, will result in immediate removal from Junior Voltage for the duration of the playing season (uponreview of the Board). Forfeiture of all fees may result.
PARENT/FAN SUPPORT
Parents/fans understand that once the game begins, their role is to support/ecnourage the athletes and the coaches. Parents/fans are not to interfere or undermine, in any way, the play of the game. Parents must refrain from "sideline" coaching. Parents who act in an un-sportsmanlike manner, risk having their child "benched" by the coaching staff until theproblem is corrected. Further action may be taken if necessary.
PARENT VOLUNTEER PARTICIPATION
Voltage is a not-for-profit organization. A parent of each player is required to volunteer within theirteam’s organization, management, and structure. There are many roles that parents/volunteers have to take onin order for their child’s team to be successful. Please be aware that every parent will be asked to volunteer atsome point. The team manager will decide what volunteer positions are needed and these will be discussed atthe team meetings. (Voltage Soccer is a non-for-profit organization and does not hire outside help. We rely onparent volunteers.)

Payment in Full or minimum 1/2deposit.
Full, one-time payment of the Voltage Player Fee is the preferred method of payment.
If the Voltage Player fees are not paid in full, the payments must be paid in accordance with the fee
payment schedule below.
Two (2) Month Program (Late April – July 1st):

Includes:
Two training sessions/week for 2 months of outdoor soccer.
Team rental space for outdoor training.
Vermont Soccer Association (VSA) registration and roster/player cards.
Vermont Soccer League (VSL) team registration.
Game uniform (shorts, socks, home jersey, and away jersey).
Practice shirt.
Club operational dues/fees – medical supply, balls, bags, pumps, pinnies, cones
Family season pass for Voltage games (2 youth 2 Adults) value $150
$25 off renting Voltage Clubhouse for birthday parties or other activities
$25 of the half day camps
$50 off the overnight camps
10% of on all Voltage merchandise
EACH AGE GROUP IN JR.VOLTAGE CLUB WILL HAVE ASSIGNED TWO VOLTAGE PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS TO WORK WITH THE PLAYERS DURING TRAINING TIMES
Uniforms and Equipment:
All other equipment (example: warm-ups, bags, sweatshirt, polo, etc.) is available as an optional package that can be purchased by the player/families/teams upon request.
IF THE SCHEDULE DOES NOT CONFLICT WITH VOLTAGE FIRST TEAM GAMES AND TRAININGS, VOLTAGE PLAYERS WILL BE AVAILLABLE DURING TOURNAMENTS AND GAME TIMES ALSO.

*NOTE: Players will not be placed on a team roster until a deposit and contract are received (no exceptions). In addition all previous balances from previous years must be paid in full to be considered for this years' roster. To ensure your position on the team roster this contract must be signed and handed/mailed in to the Vermont Voltage Soccer Club with 1/2 payment of your club fees and any unpaid balances from previous years (no exceptions). This is a non-refundable deposit. If you cannot attend the Sign-up Day event please contact your Voltage Soccer Club coach/team manager and mail the contract with 1/2 payment of your deposit/Player Fee to the Voltage Soccer address listed above before the specified date. Positions are not secured until payment is received.
