to The Nordic Championship for working dogs – NOM 2017
The Danish working dog association Danmarks civile Hundeførerforening (DcH) and the local association DcH Lemvig wishes to bid everyone welcome to NOM in Denmark.
DcH Lemvig and the Danish committee of Nordic programs have done a lot of work preparing this great event. The neighbor clubs around Lemvig have also been involved and helpers have come from a large area around Lemvig.
The center of NOM is Lemvig Gymnasium where all official parts of the NOM and obedience in all classes will take place.
All the “forest work” will be in Klosterheden Plantage. DcH Lemvig has worked hard to make these disciplines as audience friendly as possible. So you can really look forward to seeing the fantastic dogs working in the nature of wild Jylland.
All the Nordic disciplines and IPO are represented at this NOM. Dogs from all four countries compete in tracking, search and IPO. Only Sweden and Finland compete in Messenger dog sport and Finland does not compete in Nordic protection.
This year it is the 22nd NOM and I think it is fantastic to see the Nordic dog handlers and all the officials again in Denmark. I am also looking forward to see the good spirit and sportsmanship which mark this championship.
In the international world of today we should really appreciate this event and the positive contact between people of the Nordic countries. I myself really appreciate the knowledge I have got from people in the other Nordic countries. Nothing gives you an idea about people from other countries as the personal contact. I really hope you will all spend time talking to the people from the other Nordic countries.
I want to thank everyone who has taken part in arranging this year’s NOM. And a special thanks to DcH Lemvig for taking the challenge to arrange NOM. I know you have been working very hard and dedicated to make everything perfect.
I also want to thank all the judges who come from all four countries and everyone else, who is working in this weekend to create a good competition and good mood for everyone here.
I hope everyone here, dog handlers, officials and audience will have a fantastic weekend in fantastic good weather!

General Information
All official activities take place in and around Lemvig Gymnasium, Romvej 30, 7620 Lemvig. There is ample parking in front of the school. Please show consideration for the staff and students who will still be using the school and the grounds until 3 o’clock on Friday.Breakfast, lunch (for those who are not in the forest) and dinner will be served in the canteen. It will be possible to buy light refreshments (drinks, candy) in the canteen. Only food which has been ordered in advance is served at mealtimes.
