2 / Letter of Offer
Signed and Returned / Faculty employment offers are sometimes made years in advance. This is happening with increasing frequency. The Offer Letter is not a legal contract...faculty may or may not come to work for PSU. / Grant an access account at this point with limited services. This would need a PSUID and a signature. Use the In Common Silver credentialing process for remote credentialing. / Employee

7 / Access Account Request Form / QUESTION: How does new employee access services with access account, if they haven’t been to a signature station? Maybe it’s on the paperwork they receive? Takes 3 days to create an account. / Improve the timing of this process.

Password / Must go to the signature station to receive the password. / Reexamine the process of using a signature station. How do we handle account holders being in different locations.
8 / Payroll / Payroll is trigger for benefit assignment and other services. Does this process need to change? / Recommend giving access to ESSIC on the day of employment as apposed to the payroll appt form being processed.
9 / I9 / Does or should policy address providing access before an I9 is completed and signed? / E-Verify may change this process. Full access can be granted after the completion of the I-9.
