All other age groups $5.00 per event

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  1. Competitors must be affiliated with Swimming Queensland and be a member of an affiliated club.
  2. Swimming Queensland Policies, By-Laws and Rules apply to this meet.
  3. Swimming Queensland’s Rule Tolerances Policy will apply.
  4. Nomination fees are:
  5. 6 years and under and 7 years - $2.00 per event
  6. All other age groups - $5.00 per event
  7. Late nominations will not be accepted.
  8. Substitutes for scratchings will not be accepted.
  9. All events will be swum as timed finals.
  10. The age group of each competitor for the meet is their age as at 19th November, 2016.
  11. Swimmers in the 6 years and under and 7 years age groups will receive participation ribbons for all events. No 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded for these age groups. These age groups will not compete for Age Champion awards.
  12. Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd placegetters in events for swimmers 8 years and over.
  13. Events 1, 2, 3, 4, 15, 16, 29, 30, 41, 42, 49, 50, 51, 52, 59, 60, 69, 71, 72, 85, 86, 97, 98, 111 and 112 are Special Events and, as such, will not count towards Age Champion results.
  14. Age Champion and Runner-Up awards will be presented to swimmers in each age group from 8 years.
  15. To qualify for Age Champion and Runner-Up awards, swimmers must compete in the 50m eventsin all 4 strokes in their age group.
  16. Age Champion points will be awarded as follows: 1st = 20 points, 2nd = 17 points, 3rd = 16 points, and so on down to 16th place receiving 1 point.
  17. In the event of a tie for an Age Champion or Runner-Up, each swimmer’s individual times for the 4 age group events will be added and averaged. The swimmer with the fastest average time will be awarded the prize.
  18. The Reg & Cecilia Abbott Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd placegetters in Events 49 and 50.
  19. Nomination fees must accompany nominations.
  20. Nominations will only be accepted from Club Officials.
