St. Mark, our Patron Saint – Wear school colors today – Wear Blue and Orange!
St. Mark was an evangelist, or Gospel writer. In fact, he was the pioneer in Gospel writing. His is the shortest and the oldest of the Gospels. Little is known of Mark except from the New Testament. He was not one of the twelve apostles, but was a member of the first Christian community. Mark's gospel was a great contribution to the Church. It included oral and written tradition concerning the words and deeds of Jesus. Mark knew that to accept the Risen Jesus meant to come to terms with the cross. Today as we celebrate this day in honour of our Patron Saint, all students and staff will receive a treat!

Multicultural Day
St. Mark School will be hosting a Multicultural Day on Wednesday, May 17th. The morning will consist of four half hour stations and the afternoon will have an array of entertainment. We are looking for St. Mark parents, family and friends to help educate the students about different cultures. Please contact the school at 659-7390 if you are interested in organizing a station in the morning or providing some entertainment in the afternoon or perhaps both. Plans are coming together; we’re looking forward to an awesome day! We hope you join us in participating by holding an event, sharing your talent, or joining us for an afternoon of cultural dance entertainment. Thank you to the Multicultural Association for their ongoing support to St. Mark School.
