Dear CIC,
Here are some quick updates..
1) Deadline - Friday, Aug. 28, 2015: Enter Mentor/Mentee Relationships into MAS
· The exception would be when BTs names are not yet in MAS. This also includes if you see the name in the MAS dropdown but receive the OSD message and can not save the relationship. All that this means is that you will need to return at a later date to enter the relationship, there is not anything that can be done manually on my end. We only have 330 relationships entered in MAS and 1200 beginning teachers. Can we reach 1000 mentor/mentee relationships in MAS by Friday???
2) Survey to be completed by beginning teachers (BTs) at the end of the campus orientation
If you organized a campus orientation for new hires, make sure that you provide the opportunity to complete the survey because it will serve as a record of completing the campus orientation requirement. As of today, 62 of the 220 campuses with beginning teachers have reported. (I will not be able to update CICs with the names of the campuses at this time.)

3) Mentor Training - It is a state requirement that all mentors are required to attend a training each year that they are assigned a mentoring role. However, at this time the online courses on the HUB are not working correctly. The hyperlinks with the required documents to be completed give error messages. HUB people are working on this. It has received top priority at this time. Stay tuned, I should have some good news by the end of the week. I will provide you with course numbers and all important information.
· Meanwhile, your new mentors must and can sign up for the mandatory face to face course on eTRAIN TT3300 for Sat. Sept. 12 or Sept. 26, 2015, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM at Kingdom Builders’ Center, 6011 West Orem, Houston 77085. (NOTE: Later training dates in October and December are for the mentors that are assigned after Sept. 26th.)
4) CICs with a caseload of 4 or more beginning teachers should register for the September TOT (eTRAIN PD1018). Attend one 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM session.
